Grateful beyond words for the growth, opportunities, memories and lifelong friendships Maci has made over the past 5 years in the @theaustralianballetschool ITP Program Levels 1-3. It has been a dream for her to learn, grow, and dance alongside so many passionate & talented dancers from around Australia in the ABS studios. Maci is thrilled to be continuing as an invitee in 2026 and cannot wait to see what this next chapter will bring. Thank you @megan.connelly @lisapavane & the ABS Team for supporting Maciโ€™s love of ballet and allowing her the opportunity to continue visiting and training with you next year. As always, thank you to all of Maciโ€™s teacherโ€™s @classicalcoachingaustralia, Miss Janine, Miss Kimberley & Miss Sim, alongside Miss Anne Fraser & Miss Marie Walton-Mahon for everything you do for Maci each and every day. Also to Miss Karen @balletqueen26 who Maci started her ITP journey with back at 8 years of age. So many beautiful memories to treasure. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ #theaustralianballetschool #invitee #absinvitee #classicalcoachingaustralia #grateful #cantwaitfor2026

โœจ Ending 2024 on โ€œpointeโ€ with an incredible 3-day masterclass led by the inspiring @melkonst and @mr.k1967 from the Australian Ballet School! ๐Ÿ’ƒ When Mummy asked, โ€œDo you have advice for Emma?โ€ @melkonst said, โ€œPromise me to never stop dancing. You have what you need, and most importantly, your heart for ballet is amazing. Mummy, do keep supportingโ€”she has what it takes.โ€ ๐Ÿฉฐ ๐Ÿ’– These words mean the world to me. Thank you both! With this encouragement, Iโ€™ll keep working hard to chase my little ballet dreams into the new year and beyond. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ช

Literally just before COVID hit in March 2020, I went back to ABS to visit! I had just quit lawyering at the end of 2019 and had kept in touch with the director, Lisa Pavane, over the years on LinkedIn haha. Going into ballet teaching hadnโ€™t crossed my mind at all at this point, I was just going in to visit for fun! Second photo is me with my main teacher at ABS, Ms Irina (and the photo above my head is also Ms Irina if I remember correctly)! I sat in on her Level 5 ballet class that day. 4 years later and I now have my own adult ballet school! I never call it a โ€˜schoolโ€™, because that sounds weird for adults, but I guess that is what it is! ๐Ÿฉฐ

An emotional day today, saying farewell to The Australian Ballet School, and with that my last day at the Primrose Potter Australian Ballet Centre after 21 years. Thank you to all at the ABS for welcoming me back with open arms this year. From student, to company dancer, to teacher, returning and being a part of that cycle has been a gift I'll always be grateful for. I look forward to our paths crossing again soon. As one chapter finishes, another begins, and a new adventure awaits... Noho ora mai.

Today we celebrate Irina Konstantinova's remarkable 21-year milestone with The Australian Ballet School! ๐ŸŒŸ Irina is not only a dedicated and experienced classical teacher but also a treasure trove of ballet knowledge, thanks to her illustrious career in the world of dance. Born in Russia, Irina's ballet journey began at the prestigious Perm Ballet School, where she honed her skills before gracing the stage of the USSR State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre as a Principal Artist. With grace and artistry, Irina brought iconic ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, La Sylphide, Don Quixote, and many more to life. Irina's talent and dedication were recognised on an international level when she received the laureate of the Grand Prix International Competition in Baku. Later, she embraced new horizons as a member of the renowned Kirov Ballet (now the Mariinsky Theatre) in St Petersburg. Irina's thirst for knowledge led her to the esteemed Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, where she graduated as a fully qualified vocational teacher of the Vaganova method. In 2001, Irina joined The Australian Ballet School as a classical teacher and Curriculum Development Assistant. Irina's wealth of ballet expertise, steadfast guidance, and unwavering commitment to nurturing young dancers have woven an everlasting legacy within our School. Thank you and congratulations, Miss Irina! May your remarkable journey continue to inspire and uplift generations to come. ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’ ๐Ÿ“ธ @belinda_strodder_photography, Sergey Konstantinov ๐Ÿฉฐ Artistic Staff of The Australian Ballet School #TheAustralianBalletSchool #ABS #BalletTraining #BalletSchool #BalletInsta #BalletDancer #LoveBallet #Ballet #Pointe #BalletTeacher @melkonst #IrinaKonstantinova
