Horror Review: Crawlers. @angelgomez.h's killer-spider creature feature (official film account: @crawlersfilm), from @thunderroadpictures and released by @roadsideattractionsfilms and @saban_films, is in US cinemas now. No India release date has been announced yet.

A tenant's festering boil bursts with baby spiders, and the run-down Paradiso Palms apartment block in LA is quarantined. Building manager Serena (@matildalutz) has to face her deepest fear and lead residents she can't stand through an infestation that multiplies by the second.

✅ Works: spiders hiding in chip bags, shoes and cribs. The close-up scares land, the gore is gnarly, and at 81 minutes it never drags.
❌ Doesn't: thin, mostly unlikeable characters, patchy CGI swarms and jump scares critics have seen before (the French hit Infested comes up a lot).
🎭 Standout: Matilda Lutz's world-weary Serena; even one of the pans calls her the film's biggest appeal. @melmtthws's Lady Lash livens up the last act, with @greggsulkin, William Miller and @gstennette in support.
🕷️ Horror check: brutal if you're arachnophobic, a so-so B movie if you're not.

Verdict: 2.5/5. Skin-crawling scares in a paper-thin movie. Watch it if spiders make you shudder and you want a quick, gross ride.

Spiders: genuinely scary or just gross? 👇

🎬 Movie Review ~ Crawlers 🕷️🏚️

Eight legs. Zero rent control. Sweet dreams.

Crawlers turns a rundown Santa Monica apartment building into one big web, the third spider siege since Sting and Infested. The fun is before anyone notices the eight-legged tenants.

Once the lockdown hits, the script runs out of ideas. Matilda Lutz pays her dues in a big way, and Melina Matthews’s dominatrix, Lady Lash, is terrific fun.

🎭 Genre: Horror / Creature Feature
🌟 Starring: Matilda Lutz, Gregg Sulkin, William Miller, Melina Matthews
🎥 Directed by: Ángel Gómez Hernández | Screenplay by: Jayson Rothwell
📅 Theaters, October 16, 2026
⭐ My rating: 5/10

Swipe for my take. How long would you last in the Paradiso Palms?
