“Ohio carried me away.”

I’ve always found myself on the outside. This band didn’t bring me in. It gave me people worth staying outside with. People who share a deep disdain for right angles.

The entity that is @two_point_oh_band exists on the outskirts. It chooses to live where things get stranger and ideas radicalize instead of conform. It seeks honesty and authenticity with an insatiable thirst. Most of the time, we only skim the surface of those waters. This tour felt like a plunge into their depths.

We have to thank Ben out of Detroit for playing drums like a king with us for this entire tour, and his lovely wife Lisa for setting us up with beds so we could grab a couple hours of sleep before the drive home. Big love to David and the Youngstown crew for showing us around and making Ohio feel like more than another stop. Shoutout to the captivating Melodic Canvas for booking the shows, playing with us, and traveling through all of it alongside us. And to everyone else we met, played with, stayed with, or spent time with along the way, thank you for making it what it was.

I still feel like I’m on the outside. I just feel less alone by than ever out here.

i have been putting off making a little recap for awhile now. i guess it was that fear of it not being perfect enough to post or i was ashamed that i hadn’t done enough in my month or i felt like my music taste would come across bizarre. (stupid, i know, but i’m trying to combat that.) so here’s my august recap— my playlist in rotation, songs on repeat, songs i’ve discovered & added to my library or my playlists (tagged some of the artists— give them a listen!!), wise words that i stumbled upon that had my brain mulling, & little life updates!
