Enjoying the garden 🌷🩷

The flowers started blooming a week ago. Eevee is following closely the plants and flowers in the garden. 🌷🩷

It's been raining a few days. Eevee knows that all the plants needs the water to grow. 🌷🩷

As you might guess from my username, I love rain. I enjoy listening and watching outside while it's raining. I'm happy to go for a walk in the rain, to feel and smell the fresh raindrops.🌷🩷

The delivery people had me stressing all day because the tracking update kept saying it was delayed BUT IT’S HEEEREEEE!! 😭🩷

So excited! I’m putting together a small girl dinner as soon as I’m done posting this and then I’m not gonna move from my couch again all evening as I stuff my face and play Pokémon! 🥰🥰

Already know Chikorita is going to be my starter but still not sure what to name them. I tend not to nickname my mons anymore (I used too) but the people in the @eengeanimeerdgesprek Discord made my realise I should get back to it and come up with some fun Pokémon names again. Just like in the “old” days 🤭 Do you name them too?

But time to wrap this up, make my girl dinner and then it’s time to catch ‘em all! 🫶🏻✨️

You might've seen some of these in my stories this weekend, but I was out and about with @ikulaz again! 🥰🥰 We went on a little oshikatsu themed adventure this Sunday, with the @krollermullermuseum as our destination! 👀

A museum filled with (mostly) modern art but also a big Vincent van Gogh collection and lovely pointillism artworks (my favs, they look like pixel art!), as well as a huge sculpture garden. The whole thing is located in a really pretty National Park so plenty of opportunities for lovely pictures! 😊✨️

I'm already posting a few edits from everything we took but I'll be sure to post more later on. Hope you like these!

One of my all-time favorite figures is this Lilliefigure, from Pokémon. It’s actually not just a figure, it’s a music box! 🥺💕

She’s made completely out of polystone and even though her neck broke at some point, I really don’t mind. I honestly believe the break is the only reason I managed to find her at all. She’s pretty rare as she was only available during a super limited campaign in Japan.

But during a trip to Japan a few years back I found her in a secondhand store for a really decent price and didn’t hesitate a second before snatching her up lol.

Honestly, nothing beats the secondhand market in Japan. I’ve found so many limited items, often for really cheap prices too. And everything is always in such amazing condition, it’s like they’re new.

Can’t wait to be back in Japan and do some serious shopping again 🤭💸

Absolutely obsessed with this blind box series!! It’s the Pokémon Romantic Collection by Re-ment, they always make the cutest miniatures and blind boxes but this particular one is just stunning. Like there’s not a single “ugly” option to get! 😭💖

My “least” favorite ones were Primarina and Sprigatito, but even those I would’ve been happy with! Genuinely considering getting some more from this series now haha, but the fear of dupes is always there 👀💸

Which one would you hope to get from this box, if you could pick one?

I was ranting a little bit yesterday about the Nintendo Switch 2 being a disappointment for me so far. The whole issue with pricing and digital only files aside, it’s just so BORING. I can not get over it 💔

And now with this Partner Direct they just had??? NOTHING BUT G***DAMN GAME CARD KEYS I’m screaming. But anyway, let’s not get into the Partner Direct rn, I’ll save that for a different time. But please bare with me a little longer while I rant a bit more 🙏🩷

I know I’m probably a little more frustrated than is warranted, but I really do hope Nintendo is not going to become another Big Bore, too worried about their Bottom Line numbers and losing the spark that set them apart from Sony and Microsoft. But it really seems like it, not even the new Pokémon is getting a pretty Switch 2 model 😭😭

And yes, perhaps I am impatient. But previous launches we had fun limited editions, or in the case of the Switch Lite a range of colours. Limited colours, but still some choice. And now we’ve had a few large releases and announcements being made but no LEs? No fun colours? Not even the joycon?? 💔😤

It seems to be following a trend of capitalism draining the world of colour in favor of mass production and upscaling of numbers, but ok, I won’t go too deep into that bit, because I can write whole essays on it. But I don’t wanna be a party pooper and also, after my latest poll in stories I’m trying to cut back a little on the massive captions I always write lol. Not a whole lot though, I like yapping away at you all too much 🤭

But okay, no more complaining. For now it’s only toxic positivity from me when it comes to Nintendo. I’m speaking it into the world,✨manifesting✨ it if you will: Nintendo is preparing a fun line of new handhelds with pretty colours and fun designs that they will surprise us with in the next main Direct! 🫶🏻✨️

So, let’s wait and see if our dreams come true. Yes, OUR dreams, because I’m sure I can’t be the only one hoping for more fun designs to come out again! 🥺🩷

I can never pick just one Pokémon to be my fav but I do have a weak spot for the "silly little guys" like Pysduck, Smoliv and ofc Slowpoke. I don't know what it is, but something about their dumb little faces is just soooo cute to me 🥺💖

And even though I pretty much stopped collecting Pokémon cards and other Pokémon stuff I do make an exception for a few of my favs, every now and then. Because, seriously, how could I possibly miss out on this Slowpoke necklace for example??? Was an insta buy as soon as I saw it 🤭

Really hoping I can make it to that one Slowpoke town in Japan one day. They have Slowpoke hotel rooms, sight seeing highlights and all sorts of local specialties and other fun things featuring Slowpoke. An absolute dream!

What do you think about Slowpoke? Can you appreciate the sillyness as well? Or what or some of your other silly little guys when it comes to Pokémon?

The weather has been absolutely amazing the past few days and all that sunshine has gotten me in the mood for the summer holidays 🌴🌞 Even though we don't really get those anymore as working adults, at least not like we used to as kids 💔

Whenever I think of my childhood summers there's always two things that come to mind: playing The Sims and Pokémon. Inb4; yes, I also went outside and did all the regular summer activitities like going to the pool etc.

But me and my trusty Gameboy were the best of friends during long car trips on our way to family vacation destinations. And despite Pokémon Blue being my first and Pokémon Yellow and Crystal being my favs, it's Pokémon Pinball that brings back the most nostalgic feelings for me.

I can't really tell you why, except for the fact that I spent an ungodly amount of time on it as a kid. Just the whole rumble kit, the cute backgrounds on the pinball machines, the way it felt to get a new highscore, there's just something about it that I can't forget! 🥺✨️

I'm still holding out for the hope that one day we'll get something similar again, or at least that Pokémon will come out with some fun spin-offs like they used to 🙏🩷

What's one of your fav memories when it comes to Pokémon or the summer holidays? Do you have a specific game that always comes to mind when it's starting to feel like summer?
