I love showing people a peek into my painting world. I want it to be an invitation. Stay a while. Remember the child in you and how they loved to splash colors on the canvas and how they never cared about ‘beauty’ just about the beauty of creating. Even teenage you; in awe of all possibilities ahead. Can you bottle that feeling? Even just for a moment?

I was 17. Chasing dreams and origami kisses. A decade later I can see how the smiling line has taken its permanent place on the left corner of my mouth. I was 17 when I briefly noticed it for the first time. I saw it in the mirror in the bathroom of my first boyfriend. I didn’t stay. I never stayed. I dream of the friends I no longer talk to. My heart misses them and sends them to me in my sleep. How loved I have felt. There goes the one with her head in the clouds, they would say. How fast have ten years gone by. How eternal did every spring feel. How endless every summer. May this be an ode to that 17 year old girl with her fearless heart. The one who swam naked in the river. Who stubbornly chose love over religion. Who turned every human into poetry. Who got me where I am today. May she always be 17.

‘17’ is a series born from the mental fragments of a decade gone by. It represents the time where the girl is about to become the woman. Every soft stroke of color a soft memory of the sun that guided her skin from adventure to adventure to adulthood. Here only the light is remembered.

My second limited edition series is finally here and I’m so excited and as always a little nervous to share it with you! 🧡 The prints of this series are now available on my website, link in bio ✨

Today is the day. We (@dopper_official) just introduced two new ocean-saving bottles. Both Insulated (keeps water/tea hot for 9hrs but can also keep it cold for 24hrs) The Terracotta Tide (see photo) and Breaker Blue.

I woke up to this surprise this morning! Thank you @melosaurus for celebrating with me ❤️ I can’t believe this! It took me 3 years to reach 100k and now you have doubled this number within six months!! 200k of you supporting me is so incredibly humbling. I’m so grateful I get to do this! I always feel obligated to say that Instagram followers are just numbers and that it doesn’t determine your talent and while that is true, you guys are way more than just numbers to me. You have proven to be such a warm and supportive community over and over again. When I opened my shop, you were there buying my prints. When my grandfather passed away this year, you flooded me with comfort. When my grandmother followed my grandfather only a few weeks later, you were there again, filling my dm’s with the kindest of messages. I think many people think that once you hit a certain number of followers you must be immensely successful or famous or rich. Let me also shed light on the reality of life, which is that I’m still a very small, independent artist who next to creating art has another full time job to pay the rent. I create, wrap and send all your orders myself and truthfully, I wouldn’t have it any other way! Every time you guys order one of my prints I’m just filled with joy. Your support literally helps me make a living or allows me to buy my family a present or pay off my student debt. So no, you’re not just a number to me!
