Well…we made it!! Back in the fall we signed Big Sister Maggie up for @longhornswimclub camp. We made all the plans, which included driving to Dallas to see the kids great aunt and cousins. As we have come to learn, “life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans…”

When the Mighty Dad was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, we weren’t sure what life would like today, or if this would even be possible. While the trip has been shortened from what we planned and Dallas wasn’t really doable, we are blessed with family who drove up to stay at the hotel we are in so that all of our “family meet up plans” could still happen! We could not be more grateful to them for packing up and coming to us, it made this trip even more special!

Maggie got dropped off, I cried, Dad shed a little tear or two…but there Is something special in the Mighty Dad seeing his favorite girl at college and moving her into a dorm. We can go and see her swim this week and cannot wait for that experience, but we could not be here with out the help of so many people, especially the team @mghcancercenter & his radiation oncologist Dr. Marciscano who worked with Jarlath to get him here!

Another memory made. Good luck to our best girl Maggie!! 🤟🏻

We are also mindful of the tragedy just 80 miles from here, where families who dropped their kids off at camp, never expected the tragedy that occurred and we are praying for all of those affected 🙏🏻
