My brother: “I like your Halloween decor!” Me: “What Halloween decor?” He proceeds to point out the examples as I laugh. He isn’t on social media and I was living in LA so he isn’t aware of my style. Now, a year later, he gets my weird but still hazes me with the new additions especially around this time of year. Who needs to decorate when ppl think you already have? 👻Starting a petition to make our homes more weird. Who wants to sign?

Sterile white to a WHOLE VIBE 🔥 I know quite a few of you said to get rid of the chandelier before, but what do you think now???
I really wanted you to feel something when you walked into the room. The beautiful girl portrait is Diego’s Daughter from @melremmers and she is the perfect fit. I also thrifted a $4 frame for her and I just love the combo so much. I know red was a very bold choice, but it’s working.

These four walls are hopefully gonna hold, late night giggles, teary hugs, concerts with hairbrushes, tales of middle school, secrets about crushes. With plenty of fights, hair pulling, lip stick robbery, and all out “I hate you”s. I hope this room that is maxed out on pattern, color, and art, is the backdrop to their memories! Two very different girls, one special place to call theirs! This may not be your average “pretty home estetic” ….but it certainly is theirs 🥰✨🧚🌸

I don’t hate AI. It has helpful moments… but darn it if it doesn’t steal a lot of creativity straight out of our brains. All of these paintings are originals. They have perfectly flawed moments, and are hand painted by yours truly. These paintings can all easily be recreated using online tools IN COMPLETE PERFECTION within a few seconds by anyone. I received one of my own home in the mail this week from a company trying to sell home insurance. Ew. (I promptly threw it across the room)

I am here for learning this new AI tool in the capacity it should be used, but you won’t catch me preferring it over the perfectly imperfect creations made by real hands and real brains.

I can’t believe it’s been a year. 🥹 Time has flown and all things considered we’ve made pretty great progress on the house. There is still SO much to do and good homes take time. I’ve collected a lot of these pieces over years and sometimes it takes that long to find the perfect spot. The spare bedroom is the next space I’m tackling. There are a lot of new people here appreciating my weird and I’m so grateful! 🥹 I had a lot of questions on how to create a home like this and thrifting/vintage/secondhand is always the answer. These are some of my best tips on where to start. A unique home takes time and many of these pieces I’ve thrifted over years and they didn’t find their perfect place until several moves later. Gravitate towards what you love regardless of trends, style and time periods and you will curate an eclectic global mix that is uniquely your own.
