Promoted to my favorite color by my coach/husband 😭🤎 The harsh reality of a mother’s training journey is that it’s sometimes the most difficult thing in the world to make yourself a priority for even just a few hours a week. Through sports schedules, school pick ups, viruses, endless household chores, cooking, running my businesses & raising my boys my time on these mats has been the one thing that is only for ME & no one else. My journey these last 4.5 yrs has sometimes felt slow or stagnant but I am so proud I’ve never given up & kept showing up for myself even through postpartum & breastfeeding. It saved me. To my professors @omarsalumbjj @kyledaffernbjj @c.o.z88 & fellow mat mamas, thank you for believing in me and showing up for me through all of our ups & downs with this sport. I truly would have quit at white without you guys. Love you all so much. 😭 And to my sweet baby boys who are forever my loudest cheerleaders and push me every day to be my best self! 💙💚🩵

Where to stay in SoCal? 🤔 This is sort of part 1 of 2 posts, but we’re hoping to leverage the collective minds of those in our community who have visited Southern California, and have recommendations of unique, boutique, and/or beautiful places to stay. It could be a hotel, an Airbnb, a VRBO, a place to park the van or something in between. So if you have a recommendation, put it down there👇🏼. We will literally be kicking off the New Year by hitting the road in Southern California. And while we have our home on wheels, we also want to experience some of the unique places Southern California has to offer.
