One day, this could be you ! Walking towards your favourite person. Saying “I do” with your loved ones watching. That just-married kiss, followed by canapés, cocktails and photographs amongst the Hunter Valley greenery. Then into the Barn a beautiful meal, heartfelt speeches, cutting your cake and a few cheeky moments in the photobooth before everyone hits the dance floor beneath the fairy lights. ✨ At White Barn Pokolbin, picture a day that feels like you, with space to celebrate and time to soak it all in. Come for a personalised tour and imagine your own story unfolding here. “ Where the Hamptons meets the countryside” 🎥 @3lphotographyfilm

What 20 minutes before true sunset actually looks like in the Hunter Valley ☀️ A recent collab shoot with Jess & Tyler at Squire’s Vineyard, a gorgeous afternoon, a great local team and exactly the kind of light we were hoping for. This is why I always recommend leaving 10–15 minutes in your wedding timeline for sunset photos. Beautiful skies. Tables under the stars. Perfect weather. Not a breath of wind. But sometimes, reality can look very different. Here’s a question worth asking: Has a venue offering outdoor receptions ever shown you what that reception looks like in the rain? In strong wind? When the ground is wet, the tablecloths are blowing, the flowers are getting knocked over and your guests are looking for somewhere dry? Or have they only shown you the pretty dream? You can choose the flowers. You can choose the menu. You can choose the music. You can choose the dress. But you can’t choose the weather. An outdoor reception can look absolutely beautiful when everything goes to plan. But before you fall in love with the vision, ask what happens when it doesn’t.. How or who will you rescue your ceremony & reception? At White Barn Pokolbin, we believe your Plan A should already be weather-proof. A beautiful air-conditioned ceremony chapel. A light, bright, climate-controlled reception space. Undercover areas for your guests. No last-minute scramble. No watching the weather app all week. No moving your wedding because the forecast changed. Because on your wedding day, you should be watching each other not the sky! #huntervalleywedding #weddingvenue #countrywedding #weatherproof #reception

Karen & Nic 💕 I first met Karen and Nic a little over a year ago at their engagement session. And from the get go I knew their wedding was going to be a special one. Two absolute balls of energy, so much banter and absolutely not taking anything too seriously. Just an all round fun couple. Fast forward to their wedding day and it was nothing short of what i expected. Their vows left everyone in tears. Not because of how heartfelt they were (which they were) but because they were hilarious. It was so clear that everyone who spent the day with them could see how meant to be Nic & Karen are. Nics brother also graciously offered their property to be the backdrop for the day adding a very personal touch to their wedding. Weddings like this remind me exactly why i love being a wedding photographer.
