❤️ “Autism is my superpower.” — Guy Isaiah Smith

And after getting to know Guy, it’s easy to understand why he says it.

For our latest Get to Know Your Neighbor, I had the privilege of sitting down with Guy Isaiah Smith - an advocate for autism, community leader, and creator of the I Got the Power Autism Festival.

Guy has been doing some pretty incredible things in our community. He was recently honored with the United Way Heroes Project Award, recognizing the difference he is making through his advocacy and community involvement. 🏆❤️

And he’s not slowing down! Guy was also selected as a panelist for the 2026 Black Autism Acceptance Day Virtual Summit, and he’s already busy planning next year’s I Got the Power Autism Festival right here in our community.

But beyond all of those accomplishments, I really wanted you to get to know Guy - his personality, his perspective, what matters to him, and what he wants others to understand about autism.

That’s what this series is all about.

Because inclusion begins when we stop simply knowing about people in our community and start getting to know them. ❤️

Guy, thank you for sharing your story and letting us get to know you!

🌧️ LOCATION CHANGE FOR TODAY 🌧️

Due to the chance of thunderstorms, today’s Wellness Rodeo has moved indoors to the Calm Clinic!

821 Salem Ave SW, Suite 102
Entrance is on the far right side of the building. Follow the sidewalk to the entrance.

We’ll still be offering FREE 5 Needle Protocol ear acupuncture, and our community partners will be joining us indoors. We’re so excited to be able to have a back up plan!

We hope to see you from 4–6 PM 🤗
