February projection flyers, a busy birth month:

2/7 Weds. @zurich.cloud.motors w/ @i4apresentday and @memory.wound @poetrypgh, punk nite DJ set to follow from @toddcheat. booked this one, first Memory Wound set live, ZCM back in the steel town.

2/10 Sat. Dirty Love III w/ @giovanni_orsini_412 @randyhitmachine and @thebedheadswv at @123pleasant. Got the last minute nod from Gio to do projections and did DL II last year and was an amazing time. Bands, artist market, burlesque, comedy, a jam packed sexy night.

2/22 Thurs. Dead Nite w/ @agave_party, no music in the hall, it's all us bby. have a few Grass Shack #2 tapes left for the prize table.

2/23 Friday @blinderpgh Drugs of the Sun record release show w/ @snarling_dogs Speed Plans and Gundy at @brilloboxpgh. The album is getting the official tape release treatment so will have those available at the show as well.

upcoming projections gigs:

1/18 Thurs. Dead Nite w/ @agave_party on the Front Porch Stage @thunderbirdmusichall, got @spaffordmusic in the music hall that evening. just picked up some 120 min. tapes to repress Grass Shack Nailed to a Pinewood Floor in full for the prize table. Also will put out another VHS version to enjoy Dead Nite in the comfort of your own home.

1/28 Sun. @williamtylertn w/ @thegarmentdistrict @bottlerocketpgh. v stoked on this one and honored Bottlerocket asked me to project for this. Ryan played a track from New Vanitas for an Agave Party episode and the EP was an immediate american primitive favorite and love the genre expanding into that territory.

2/7 Weds. @zurich.cloud.motors w/ @i4apresentday and @memory.wound @poetrypgh, punk nite DJ set to follow from @toddcheat. booked this show for ZCM who will be on tour and it's free.

To make up for Bored In Pittsburgh’s inactivity over the past several months—life sure gets incredibly busy—we’ll be taking an extra-long look this week at some local music that hit the spot recently. Today’s collection features music from @the_missing_field , @her_suit_songs , @kithbah , @gloomer.pa , @memory.wound , @jvggyhendrix & KREMMYSIX, C. Moore Laufman, @littlegunpowderband , @chameleontreat , and @feralcatandthewild . Part one of several.

Video for "Corridor Of Collapse I" by @memory.wound from the album "Lillian Drip"

This release just turned 2 years old, and though the tapes are long sold out, digital downloads can still be picked up through our BC page as well as the artist's (links in both of our bios).

Yearly Yinz 2021: Bored In Pittsburgh’s favorite local albums of the year, arranged chronologically. As with the track list, there were far too many incredible releases to include everything, but these albums came to mind when looking back on this strange year. Thanks again to all Pittsburgh artists, musicians, and creatives. Head over to the site to read a bit about these albums and listen to some music (blog link in bio)
