📣📣Mom is selling her latest piece of art and wanted me to share…

👩🏻‍🎨Artist Biography 🖼️ 🎨
Marion Davis is a self-taught artist and proud Shreveport native whose creative journey has been shaped by a lifetime of artistic influence and encouragement. Surrounded by creativity from an early age, she credits both her grandmother and mother as foundational inspirations. Today, her daughter, Kimberly, a Louisiana Tech graduate with a degree in art, continues that legacy as one of her most trusted and insightful critics.
Marion works skillfully across multiple mediums, including pastels, mixed media, watercolor, pen and ink, and acrylics. A member of both the Shreveport Art Club and the Pastel Society, she is known for her preference for large-scale compositions, vivid color palettes, and an adventurous exploration of unconventional subjects. Among these, her whimsical fascination with donkeys has become a notable and charming hallmark of her work.
Her artwork has been showcased, judged, and juried at numerous respected institutions and exhibitions, including The Barnwell Center, the Louisiana State Museum, the Meadows Museum, the Magale Library, ArtSpace, Artport, and Towne Square Gallery in Arkansas.
Driven by color, curiosity, and an enduring love for creative expression, Marion continues to expand her artistic voice while celebrating the influences that shaped her.
