We’re roaming through mountain film festivals across the ocean! 🌊🏔️ This time, we’re heading to Bilbao, Spain 🇪🇸!

She Measures the Earth follows four women scientists from @girlsonicecanada as they explore science, art, life, and expeditions in their own ways, all while mentoring the next generation of female-identifying high school students.

This little clip features our wildlife ecologist @isobelphoebus, bringing together her love for outdoor expeditions and scientific research. 🐾🏔️

To our EU friends, we’ll announce the screening dates soon! ❤️ @mendifilm

In the meantime, if you know a high-school-aged girl who might benefit from an experience like this, check out the European branch @inspiringgirls_europe . It’s a tuition-free program, and applications are opening soon!

Maybe we’ll see some of you in the mountains, or in the cinema. 🇪🇸✨

💥 Two days left for attending the 7th edition of the Mendi Film Bizkaia Ternua Beka!

A grant promoted by Mendi Film, Ternua and the Basque Language, Culture and Sports Ministry of the Bizkaia Regional Government, aimed at the creation of documentary film projects that seek to promote mountain culture through audiovisual means.

Mountain culture is understood from multiple perspectives, whether sporting, cultural or social, or through projects related to sustainability, ecology, and/or climate change.

👉 Priority will be given to young filmmakers, projects filmed wholly or partly within the historical territory of Bizkaia, and those with a local-global character.

👉 The grant consists of a financial contribution of €10,000 and a support programme, led by the creative producer Itziar García Zubiri, to develop the selected project.
