Ain’t you tired of being sold to?

Only to buy another false promise.

This fashion might help your posture,
their fashion won’t make you any taller.

It wears progress,
not pretend status!

“Wear enough for you.”
Then you get it. 👍

I’m That Guy!! 💪🏼👍

There are SO many people who help make the DANCOP Future Leaders programme what it is, but our panel members deserve a special shout out. They volunteer their time to speak to our young people and answer any questions that they have.

The two panel discussions this year have blown us away with emotion, inspiration and laughter. (We couldn't possibly comment on the pronunciation of 'plantain'!!)

Thank you, you are all the best!!!

🎉 CELEBRATING ONE YEAR OF MANASI! 🎉

On the 27th June, Sonam signed the dotted line to officially register Manasi. After years of community work, networking, building ideas, and tapping into 3 pillars centred around mentorship, movement and music. She solidified the purpose of Manasi and how it could make a difference.

Fast forward one year and we’ve:

💙 Secured funding from Sport England and The National Lottery
🏆 Won New Social Venture of the Year at the Derby Impact Awards
🧘 Launched Men on Mats and Women’s Wellness
📖 Published our first magazine: Manasi: Men’s Collective
🎉 Sold out our first celebration evening
🚶 Completed our first Wellbeing Walk
🤝 Collaborated with incredible organisations across Derby and beyond
💃 Organised a dance workshop delivered by Amber Rae
💙 Received funding from EMCCA

While we’re incredibly proud of these milestones, our greatest achievement has been building a community that has engaged with our work and immersed themselves into the safe spaces we provide.

A huge thank you to every participant, volunteer, instructor, facilitator, partner and supporter who has been part of our first year. We are so grateful to you and how you have helped shape our journey so far.

We are excited to see what year two holds🩵

Still buzzing from our first screening at @mcranimation !

It was a joy to showcase films from Black artists & to share their rich variety of stories with #MAF2025.

We were treated to an insightful Q&A with directors @marymartinsart & @mentalrootspod, lead by @a_troop & @niyadre discussing their career journeys, craft in storytelling & the value of representation. Following the programme, we had the pleasure of connecting with fellow filmmakers, festival-goers & the community up North.

Huge thanks to Steve & Jen for hosting us this year and to everyone who came! To watch other selected films from MAF, passholders can watch the online programme until Nov 30th

“I don’t want to talk to a stranger.”
But that’s exactly why counselling works.
A stranger doesn’t bring judgment, history, or bias — just space.
Space to breathe, reflect, and be real without the pressure.
Therapy lets you say what you can’t always say to people close to you.

🎯 Let’s kill the myths and start real conversations.
