𝘗𝘖-2022
mit Hans Ostapenko und MNPL

29. Oktober 2026, 19 Uhr

Did you know? 💫
Art has been widely recognized for its positive impact on well-being across various dimensions:

Emotional Well-being: Engaging with art, whether by creating or experiencing it, can evoke a wide range of emotions, from joy and inspiration to introspection and catharsis.

Mental Health: Art therapy has been shown to be effective in treating various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse disorders. Creating art can serve as a form of self-expression and a means of exploring and addressing psychological issues in a safe and supportive environment.

Stress Reduction: looking at art or engaging in artistic activities such as painting, drawing, or sculpting can promote relaxation and stress relief by diverting attention away from stressors and promoting a state of flow—a state of complete absorption in an activity.

Meaning-Making: Engaging with art can promote a sense of meaning and purpose in life. Surrounding yourself with art as well as artistic activities allow individuals to explore existential questions, reflect on their values, and find significance in their experiences, contributing to a sense of fulfillment and well-being.

For zat#8, a publication project by @_anneschuelke_ and Detlef Klepsch, I created a collage based on the question „Turning images into texts. How do you do that?“ I created a collage from read/marked texts (also with notes) by art scholars (including myself), which served as preparatory work for essays/reviews/exhibition texts etc. Thus they were a significant part of the process of transforming artworks into texts. It was important to me not only to process the topic, but also to include other art/cultural workers, to create a variety of voices.

So a big THANK YOU again to all participants for their willingness to send me their material.
THANK YOU to all the other participants for the exciting submissions, I enjoyed reading zat#8 and was thrilled by the diversity of the contributions.
Also THANK YOU to @_anneschuelke_ and Detlef Klepsch for the invitation.
