I know so much of what I share about my childhood is sad. And it was. There’s no dressing that up. But I never want the saddest parts of my life to become the only interesting thing about me. Nor the whole story.

My life now is so joyful. I am genuinely very happy. It took me a very long time to get here, and there were years when I couldn’t have imagined this version of my life.

But I’m here. And I think that part of the story deserves to be told just as loudly. 🙏
