I had a lot of practice in the tank, and spent a lot of time with @appalachianmermaidsociety this month! During tank time 2 this past weekend, I attempted juggling a few things, and practiced buoyancy. I also wore a tail I hadn't worn in the tank yet. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve to try next time, and am working on prop ideas to bring more circus arts underwater! During our first tank time weekend earlier in the month, I went right from a gig to my tank time session where I got comfortable in tank with my silicone. I practiced a few tricks, juggled, and successfully completed backflips crawling upside down the front of the tank, rather than long length ways. I wish we got footage, but at least I can say I did it. Backflips in a tight space in a big silicone tail are definitely more difficult, and not for beginners to try. I am glad this team has properly trained safeties & instructors, required insurances, care for their equipment, and a team player attitude all around. Thank you to teammate @lorelaithemerrow for getting this footage. #reelinstagram #juggling #mermaidtank #underwaterperformer #jugglingtricks

I didnt take many photos on Saturday, I was too busy enjoying myself 🤣🙈 but here are a few I did get/have found from others 💙 It was such an amazing day surrounded by inspirational Merfolk in a beautiful setting! No matter how long I have been/am a mermaid for, I am still like a kid on Christmas morning when I see Mermaids and even more so when I get to swim with them 😂 so being in a sea pool surrounded by this gorgeous community truly filled me with joy and love and I will forever be grateful to @mischiefthemermaid & @tinksthesewingmermaid and all others involved for all that they did to pull this brilliant day off 💙💚 And thank you to all who stopped by my @littlesirentreasures stall to treat yourself to one of my treasures or for a chat, it was so wonderful to see/meet you all 💙💙💙 Here's to the next one 💖

I picked this beauty up tonight from the bestest Fishbutt @merbaystudios / @samantha_siren 🤩🤩 My OG silicone Finfolk tail now has a little sister 💙 My Finfolk no longer fits me and since becoming disabled is also far too heavy for me to use if I ever managed to get it on, but this tail is only about 7KG!! I cant wait to take her for her first swim next weekend in Penzance 😁🧜🏻‍♀️💙 Thanks so much Sam 💖💖 #SiliconeMermaidTail #ProfessionalMermaid #DisabledMermaid #MerbayStudios #NewFins

There’s a weird misconception from the outside looking in that slipping into a tail is just a childhood phase or a bit of dress-up. But anyone actually in the community knows the truth: mermaiding gets better the older, wiser, and fiercer you get. Inside the mermaiding community, age isn’t a limitation; it’s power, confidence, and clarity in understanding the why of what we do. Today I’m celebrating 33 years on this planet, and honestly, my fins have never felt more a part of me🧜‍♀️✨ Looking ahead into this next year, my only birthday wishes are for more unforgettable, core-memory days in the water with my incredible pod @thesouthwalesmerpod, and to dive even deeper into the ocean conservation efforts that mean the world to me. Because being a mermaid isn’t about escaping reality — it’s about protecting it, loving the ocean, and finding your people. Here’s to 33, bigger waves, cleaner seas, and never growing legs 🫧🌊 #OceanConservation #SirenEra #BirthdayGirl #MermaidLife #GettingOlder

First swim following my finger fracture .... thankfully no rocks in sight! It was a bit of a struggle with my injury getting the tail ready and putting it on, but well worth it! Thank you to @brucelaverty from Bubblepics for doing photos with me again this year 🫶 Tail: @finfolkproductions / @merbellastudios (Firestone Signature) Top: @merbaystudios Bracers: @merbaystudios #finfolkproductions #merbellastudios #merbaystudios #bubblepicsunderwaterphotography #firstswimback
