Dream Diary. This is a beautiful cooperative game by @mercatgames that was kindly gifted to us for review.

In this game players are in a parallel universe and have to traverse through each dream whilst avoiding nightmares to escape. Players will do this with limited communication. All players have a number of cards and know which of their own areas are dreams and the nightmares are unknown.

One player leads and asks the question "Are your dreams...(adjective) players then answer using a hand signal. Either a fist for no cards, 1 finger for 1 card related or 5 fingers to indicate multiple cards. Everytime an new player leads the kite will move down the hope track. Uncover all the dreams to win but uncover all the nightmares or move off the hope track and everyone loses.

1st off what strikes you with this game is the gorgeous artwork. It has a wonderful table presence. The game is also really fun to play and is easy to teach and learn. If you've ever played any of the similo games you'll be right at home with this game. Another great quality game from this wonderful little company.

Combo Cone Paradise. This is a wonderful set collection game by @mercatgames that was kindly gifted to us. All thoughts on the game are our own.

In this game players are artisans on your 1st day at work, whoever can earn the most coins by the end of the day will be promoted to head artisan and win the game.

To do this Players start with 2 cones and you will be collecting different flavours of icecream from the shared centre area to try and make orders and get coins/extra cones or collect more cards to use for new orders. The orders are also in the shared centre space so you'll want to try and secure the best ones for yourself and stop other players from building big scores. When placing your icecream you can only place one scoop per cone, but if you can combo brands when placing you are able to place more.

This game is fantastic, its fast paced colourful, easy to learn and play and can be played with up to 5 players. The game has player aids which I always love to see. Overall the game is just pure fun and cosy. Definitely a recommended family game which we we definitely play a lot.

School holidays are always a great time to pick up new games. This year, we grabbed a few compact games for our getaway to touch grass (and cardboard)!

One of these games was Six Sights: Singapore, produced by the folks @mercatgames

It's an ultra-compact (slimmer than most wallets and you can even use it as a bookmark in a pinch) card game about sight-seeing in Singapore.

Our family is always game to support local games and we were very delighted to be provided a copy for review.

The game is incredibly easy to learn so it's perfect for teaching to non-gamers.

You are dealt six cards with iconic Singapore attractions of them and every turn, you play just one and resolve the effects in order.

At the end of the game, you will have three attractions face up. There is a hierarchy of patterns (e.g. three-of-a-kind, consecutive values etc) which determine scoring. Quite easily done.

Or is it?

You have six cards, but only three will be left showing at the end. Some cards have effects that cause cards to change hands. Timing becomes incredibly crucial. You need to decide which cards to play first (so perhaps they get covered up) or you may need to change strategy midway because someone swiped your winning card.

I personally like games where you take only one action/play one card per turn. They tend to be easier to teach to beginners. Six Sights: Singapore is that kind of game. Sure, there are some tough decisions to make but the game still plays in a flash.

The Singapore theme feels somewhat tacked on but this is one of those titles I will like to have on standby when I need to warm up a group of non-gamers for something more serious. This won't take up an hour of your time, but if you do have an hour to kill (at the airport, for example) you can whip this out of a pocket and clock over a dozen games in that hour.

Sneaky Supper. This is a set collection, push your luck game for 2-4 players that has been gifted to us by @mercatgames and is now part of the #ukbggreviewcircle

In this game you are late night snackers sneaking downstairs to get food. You will be trying to collect ingredients to make recipes and score points. But make too much noise and you'll wake the house and lose everything you collected.

To do this you'll be turning cards one by one deciding whether to push your luck and collect more, or return with the goods you have. Some cards make noise and if you make 4 or more noise you fail! All players then get to take one of your spoils. You do have careful tokens that can negate noise but you won't have many thoughout the game so use them wisely. Completing recipes from the shared area or completing personal cravings score you points and Once a player reaches over 20 points everyone has one more turn and the winner is the player with the highest score.

This is a light, fun push your luck game with a fantastic theme which fits the game well. The cards are great quality with a good variety of artwork but some of the writing on the recipes is tiny and very hard to read. The rule book doesn't explain one of the symbols on an accident card so we had to guess/house rule it. I like how if you do fail you receive a careful token that will help you to try and catch up next turn. Its quite fast paced and easy to explain how to play. Overall its a quirky, little family weight game, perfect as a filler or playing with friends at game night.

Six sights Singapore - This is a light card drafting game for 2-5 players that has been kindly gifted to us by @mercatgames

In this game players are planning a one day sightseeing tour and over six turns players will be playing landmark cards to build a schedule using special abilities to build the best combination. Combinations work a little bit like poker for example 3 of a kind or 3 sequential numbers. By the end of the game you will have just 3 cards depicting your schedule and the winner is the person that plays the best combo.

We really love this game, its quick and punchy with some good strategic play to be had by having to balance risk vs reward. With you only having 6 cards to start with and only 6 rounds to play them every decision counts. We really like the mechanic where the highest cards abilities activate 1st and if players play the same card the ability doesn't activate as this makes for some fun and tense moments. It comes in a small box with cards larger than standard playing cards with some nice artwork and good quality. A really fun game we'd definitely recommend.
