Dear friends,

The day has finally arrived — TUNGL is yours at last. 🌒

I wrote and produced this album back home in the Faroe Islands, surrounded by incredible people. I’m deeply grateful to Tróndur and my band, who produced this album with me, and to everyone who has been part of this journey from beginning to end.

I hope these songs can offer some solace and bring light to your night sky 🌘

Exactly 𝟙𝟘 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕤 ago, Rue Oberkampf was born.
We were three DJs from the Passau gothic scene who wanted to cover “Melting Away” by Absolute Body Control, just out of curiosity. When we liked the result, we made a simple video for it. We were incredibly lucky that Dirk Ivens himself shared the song on Facebook. That was the beginning of this beautiful adventure that we’ve been creating and experiencing ever since.

This band means everything to us. We put an absolutely insane amount of work, time, and passion into it. And in return, we get so much more than we could ever have imagined. Every year brings new highlights, but some moments will always hold a special place in our hearts: our first fan tattoo in 2017, our first gig (supporting Ash Code) in 2018, supporting DAF in 2019, playing the Olympia Stadium Summer Stage in 2021, our first WGT show in 2022, our first Canadian and European tours in 2023, supporting VNV Nation in 2023, Fusion Festival in 2025, our first South American tour in 2025, co-headlining the Theater Stage at Amphi Festival in 2026 (including an entry stop ❤️‍🔥) and so, so many more…

Most of all, we want to thank our fans - some of whom travel incredibly long distances just to see us. Thank you for your energy, your love, and your support! LIEBE for you 🤍 Thanks also to all DJs and influencers who play our tracks on their sets or content!

There simply isn’t enough space to thank everyone who has helped shape and support this band over the past 10 years. Whether on stage, beside the stage, in front of it, or behind the scenes - whether you’ve worked on sound, lights, merch, touring, distribution, booking, videos or anything else… we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. None of this would be possible without you.

And tomorrow, our journey takes another big step forward: starting August 15, you can pre-order our new album 𝔚𝔢𝔥𝔪𝔲𝔱.
This album is something very special to us. We live in a time of ever-increasing digitalization, and with 𝔚𝔢𝔥𝔪𝔲𝔱, we reconnect with something more primal, more natural.
