💡 New music to light up your life, all on the playlist now, all by emerging, independent, and DIY Australia-based artists.

Mannequin Death Squad are this week’s cover stars, and the pics here are of those artists I’ve shot live and who released stuff this week. Every track is added because it’s fabulous in every way, and the full list this week is on the last slides.

It’s updated with a bastard behind the eyes every Friday morning, playlist link in bioxoxo

The reason it was filmed at Bulli beach. @mercimercy ‘s bridge literally sounds like water. It’s our favourite part. Why? Because my goodness, we just wanted one full take of her singing the bridge whilst laying in water, but the waves! They kept coming! Winter waves mind you. Every time she was engulfed with water (literally drowning!!!) we thought, NO, we cannot use it! But when Mercy started editing & pulling together the pieces of the bridge, she decided to showcase the near drownings, reflecting the lyrics in a very striking & symbolic way. Bloody genius. We adore you @mercimercy 🦋🦋🦋🦋 filmed, photographed & co-produced by @poppypetersonphotography @poppy_unveiled ❤️‍🔥 Styled, set designed & co produced by @jerin_lei @bohemian_blooms #australianmusic #mercimercy #newmusic #independentmusic #wollongongmusic
