IYKYK. BUT IF YOU’RE NEW HERE, IT’S TIME TO TAP IN.

@ValkyriesSayLess is alive and well on IG (my personal pet project 😜), but we’re SO much more than a feed!

We’re a podcast, with audio on all major podcast platforms (Apple, Spotify, etc!!!) and video on YouTube @valkyriessayless. We also partner with
@BrokeAssStuart on long-form storytelling to document the historic nature of this team and its incredible fan base, and with @MerciSF to bring you player profiles and questions in French at press conferences!

We’re here to capture the history, celebrate the community, amplify the voices, and document what makes this team so special.

So follow along, tune in, spread the word, and V’s UP!

P.S. I am currently in Atlanta reporting on Games 3 & 4 with MerciSF!

Before Game 2 of the Finals, we caught up with Laetitia Amihere at Ballhalla for an interview in French with @MerciSF!

From her journey to her standout contribution in Finals Game 1, her mental and physical preparation, and a special message for French-speaking fans, we’re getting to know @_theblackqueen_ , our Violet with Canadian roots and Ivorian and Ghanaian heritage.

And of course, we wrapped things up with some love for the fans chanting “Allez les Violettes!”

Merci, Laetitia!

Two full-time teachers! Two moms! Two artists! Two entrepreneurs! ONE VERY VIOLET DREAM.

We launched “Valkyries, Say Less”, the first fan-created Valkyries podcast, in May 2025. Since then, we’ve added video, press passes, events, book projects, watch parties, player interviews, French player profiles for @mercisf , and long-form storytelling for @brokeassstuart to document the massive impact of this team and its values.

And beyond the podcast, we each have our own creative businesses!

* Raina is a talented ceramicist offering custom creations @rainamast as well as Valks pottery and merch.

* Vanessa is a meditation and yoga teacher, founder of @bigbellybreathing , and also creator of Valks merch.

We’re community creators first, and we’re so grateful to be building something special around this team we believed in from the beginning!

NOW WE’RE IN THE FINALS! Let’s get you decked out in all the right shades of violet!

Check the links in our bio for our individual websites and merch. Support local women, shop small, and LET’S GO, VALKS!

The fan interviews before the Vegas game? HIGHEST LEVEL OF JOY.

Three different groups of Valkyries fans, so many hopes and dreams, and one very clear message: Ballhalla is SO much more than a basketball team. It’s a community, connection & belonging. It is JOY!!

And LOOK at that crowd on slide 4, making its way through the casino and toward the arena. A SEA OF VIOLET taking over Vegas. You can’t convince me this isn’t something special.

I was lucky enough to catch up with three groups of fans to talk about what this team means to them, their hopes and dreams for our Valks, and the magic of being part of this incredible community.

And of course, I am here to remind everyone: IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO WRITE YOUR LOVE LETTERS TO BALLHALLA!

Whether you’re celebrating a player, a moment, a friendship, or the way this team has brought joy into your life, we want to hear from you. Submit your Love Letters to Ballhalla by November 15th! Link in bio.

See you next Saturday, Ballhalla. We’ll be bringing the violet, the love, and ALL the joy.

IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO SUBMIT YOUR LOVE LETTERS TO BALLHALLA!

Valks fans, we still need to hear from YOU!

Since Raina and I are full-time teachers (yes, we have day jobs outside of screaming/ writing/ interviewing/ planning events/about the Valks), we’re pushing our Love Letters to Ballhalla project to the off-season. And we’re doing it in collaboration with Valkyrie Nation, led by the one and only Eric Apricot!

Not subscribed to Eric’s Substack yet? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Go sign up promptly!

Here’s the thing: this Valkyries team is living and breathing the values of radical inclusion, sisterhood, joy, and health. And whenever we talk to fans, the same thing keeps coming up: this team has had a REAL impact on people’s lives, their individual experience of joy, and their sense of community.

That’s bigger than basketball. That’s Ballhalla.

💜 THANK YOU to everyone who has already submitted a letter. We can’t wait to share these love notes with the world. In a digital and print coffee table book.

💜 EVERYONE ELSE: GET ON IT! We want your stories, your feelings, your unexpected friendships, your moments of joy, your I DIDN’T KNOW I NEEDED THIS TEAM UNTIL I FOUND THEM revelations.

New due date: November 1st!!

Whether you’ve been here since day one or the Valks just turned your world violet, we want to hear from you.

YOUR STORY BELONGS IN BALLHALLA.

LET’S FILL THIS THING WITH LOVE.
