#DGDUO with @meredith.bahnak & @anniemangan_ ⚓️⭐️👯‍♀️

Meredith: “I knew of Annie before coming to Mizzou through mutual friends but had never had the pleasure of meeting her in person until freshman year bid day! She was always so kind and welcoming to me which I really appreciated since I didn’t have any close friends in DG with me at the time. Over the next semester, we grew closer and once freshman year spring break came around we decided to stay in the same house together. That trip was the turning point for our friendship in the best way possible! It’s been over a year later and there’s a lot of things I love about Annie, but the way we are able to laugh together is something I’ll never take for granted. I have countless memories since freshman year spring break of us dying laughing at something, one another, or nothing at all. From doggy day outs at the humane society, going on our daily walks in our favorite neighborhood in Columbia, or just hanging out at the house with her, I always leave our hangouts feeling happier than I was before. College has given me a lot of things, but one of the best things has been Annie.”

Annie: “Mer was one of the first college friends I met freshman year, and ever since then, we’ve been stuck together. She made Mizzou feel more like home to me, and having a friend like her made coming back each semester something I really looked forward to. After living in the house, I always knew I could count on Mer for our daily walks, Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie marathons, walking the shelter dogs, or her asking me to “go to 7 Brew” when she really just needed someone to drive her around to her errands, and knew I would never say no to a 7 Brew trip! Mer is the person I can talk to about literally anything, and she knows just exactly what to say to make me feel better. She’s been there for my best moments as well as the toughest parts of this year, and I never had to worry about someone being there for me. We always joke that we can’t ever be serious towards each other, but Mer is one of the best things Mizzou and DG have brought me, and I’m so thankful to have gained this friendship right when I needed it!! 🤍⚓️”
