The countdown continues!!! ⏳

In just 10 days, the 2026 Texas 4000 team will roll out of Austin and begin their 4,000+ mile journey to Anchorage, Alaska! 💙🧡

We are endlessly proud of this team and all the heart, dedication, and resilience they’ve poured into this journey. The road to Alaska begins soon, and we can’t wait to celebrate every mile with this incredible community! 🚲

CENTURY TEST DAY!!

The century test has been looming over us since we got our bikes in the fall. It’s when we bike 100 miles in under 10 hours. We #passed today! I’d say it’s thanks to our amazing ride group and strong support team but it’s really because of the albino squirrel we saw on mile 4 🐿️ jk for real our ride group was strong, speedy, but sooo fun and good energy 💥 the ride got hard at around mile 60 but our vibes never sank!!

SHOUT OUT my squad for pulling up!! My mom, moni, ale, Gabriel and Lucia all volunteered at rest stop one. They brought us so many snacks and so much support. ❤️ Elizabeth, amy and Anastacio pulled up to mile 80 something and cheered so loud and proud to make the best pick-me-up ever. 💞🤸‍♀️

Photo dump from the Circuit of The Americas Bike Night on Tuesday! What an awesome privilege it is to be able to ride bikes on an F1 racetrack. I’ve been able to perform here with the Longhorn Band previously and watch races, but I might even say that biking around this was more fun.

We’ve got our century test coming up this Saturday (in 2 days😬), which is the qualifying test for the summer ride, where we ride 100 miles in 10 hours. I’ve been carb loading all week and doing some less intense rides, and uh hopefully it works out! Wish us all luck!

✨ Meet our Rider of the Week, Meredith Andrus! ✨

Meredith is a junior majoring in Biology and Exercise Science 🧬💪

Meredith’s “why” began during her first semester at UT, when both her grandmother and aunt were diagnosed with breast cancer. In the midst of uncertainty, she searched for a way to turn fear into something hopeful and found purpose in Texas 4000. What began as a difficult season grew into a meaningful calling that continues to shape her time at UT.

Walking alongside them through treatment, Meredith witnessed firsthand the strength of their bond and the power of family. Today, they are both cancer free. Yet seeing how cancer’s impact can linger has only strengthened her determination to help make a real difference. The same day Meredith shared she made the 2026 team and would dedicate her ride to her grandmother and aunt, her grandmother received the news she was officially cancer free. Now, Meredith also rides for her grandfather, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

Grateful for the people she loves most, and for the ability to carry their stories all the way to Alaska, Meredith rides for her family, for those who are not able-bodied, and for everyone who needs hope.
