And now back to our regularly scheduled programming of celebrating this sweet lil diva puppy daughter of ours, @pennyhartzdog ! 🐕 🥳 🎂

We had so much fun at her quinceañera this weekend with her aunties Marianne and Shawn, and also celebrating with you all virtually! She feels all the love and support, and says to tell you thank you! 🙏 🫶

This sweet girl has brought us so much joy over the past 11 years, and we have been fur-ever changed by having her in our family. Things look a bit different these days, but she’s still the silly, opinionated, sweet, adventurous, smart, stubborn, resilient, loving and, okay, spoiled lil lady we’ve known and loved ever since that very first moment we met her at @austin_humane 🥹

Penny is an absolute trooper, and we couldn’t be more proud of her. Love you, girl!!!!! 💜 Happy 15th and counting!!!!!!! 1️⃣5️⃣

Oh, and if @caseyrosewilson is seeing this, thank you again for 1) blessing us with your endlessly iconic role of Penny on @happyendings and 2) being our sweet Penny’s namesake because of it. #yearofpenny

When in New York New Jersey… go to a World Cup game! ⚽️ 🥅

We had such a great time at the Brazil v Morocco game yesterday! The train out there and back was easy, we loved spending time with @darraghmcginley and @nicniclong, it was a close game ending in a draw, and we survived the heat!

Very successful first @fifaworldcup experience 🙌

10/10 would recommend.

10/10: Building @LEGO travel-themed sets while on vacation at the sites!

We had the most wonderful stay at this @parisperfectrentals apartment with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to build the gorgeous new Paris - City of Love set on a relaxing evening! If you’re looking for the ideal place to stay in Paris, look no further!

Happy Wicked-ween: For Good! Last year I was the Wizard, this year I’m his Winkie Prince Guard, Fiyero! Cuz the best way to take down a villain is to beat them from within!

Last year Justin was Fiyero from the @wicked_musical Broadway show, and this year he’s Pfannee from Wicked: Part 1! Of course, Phannee was hard crushing on Fiyero, but who DOESN’T crush hard on @jbayleaf ?!?!?!

Today marks 10 years of marriage equality nationwide, y’all!

June 26, 2015, was such a beautiful day. As soon as the Supreme Court released their ruling in Obergefell v Hodges, Justin and I rushed down to be the 31st couple married that day in Austin! It was so powerful being there surrounded by so many other couples — some who had been together for DECADES and who had their grown children there with them — along with so many allies. Every time another couple got their number called, everyone erupted into applause. It was truly a day we will never forget. And then later that year, we had our bigger wedding with friends and family that we were already planning. So, we have two anniversaries!

Happy 10 year Marriage Equality-versary, babe! I love you and Penny so much, and I am so very thankful for your love and support.

To celebrate 10 years since this momentous day, Justin and I will be participating in a community vow renewal being hosted by @traviscountyclerk on Saturday, which also happens to be Stonewall Day! We are so thankful for Travis County, both for inviting us to celebrate with them this week, for being the first county in Texas to issue a marriage license to a same-sex couple (BEFORE the Supreme Court ruling) and for immediately issuing marriage licenses to ALL couples the moment Obergefell was announced.

And a special shout out to our incredible friends Marianne and Elisa for rushing to be there with us as we said “I do!” and then celebrate with us after!

For today’s #sigfigscene, I recreated John & Justin’s adorable robots — Push, Pull and Nudge — from this week’s episode of @legomastersfox, “Get in Gear”! So excited to have this microscale #legomosaic to switch out in my watch party scenes!

Also, there was a bit more to the watch party story this week, which you get a glimpse of if you spot my #sigfig. Remember how in Week 2, Austin had a tornado watch so @foxtv went to nonstop weather coverage the last 30 minutes? Well, this week, @fox7austin just went to a blue screen with the words “You’re watching FOX 7” for the last 35 minutes!!!!! Luckily, it appears it was only an issue for YoutubeTV, so someone very quickly signed up for Hulu Live, and we picked up from there. Because we were a few minutes behind, I was able to fast forward through the commercials to catch us up 😂 📺

This week’s #watchparty was also fun in that it was hosted by our friends, Tommy and Becky, the owners of @bamsouthaustin ! They were such wonderful hosts, and we can’t thank them enough! It was great being able to do a screening down south for our friends and family who live down that way!

While Daddy and Papa are away watching Captain America on Day 3 of #ValentinesHabitats25, @pennyhartzdog is celebrating Galentine’s Day with her auntie, Marianne! And, of course, Marianne is her fav and always makes sure to bring her delicious treats, like this dog biscuit and a pup cup (aka ice cream)! Who even knows what kind of mischief these two gal pals will get up to on their special day (and while dads are away)?!? 👯‍♀️😈
