the Blasdels!!!! ✨💍🥂 what an incredibly joyful & sweet day!

This wedding was particularly special for me not only because my little brother got married, but that he & his bride wanted me and my husband to be there for them all day long! I’ve been a bridesmaid before, but this time came with different feelings, perspectives, and duties. Getting ready with my new sister, being there during the calmness of the morning, dancing around all dressed up before she walked down the aisle, and making sure she was taken care of (hydrated and as cool as possible) all day was such a blessing! And then keeping tabs on my brother, checking on the groomsmen (whom are all like brothers to me), and working with my husband to make sure my little bro was taken care of as well — what an honor, and a really fun one at that!

Anyways… all this to say, we could not be more happy for Mitch & Audrey! The Lord had His hand on this day, and we rejoice & are so glad in it! Cheers to happily ever after! 💫

As I celebrate an entire year of @picturepopeckphotography I thought now would be the perfect time to reintroduce the face behind the lens and the other Popeck behind the name!✨

Hey yall! My name is Meredith, most call me mere! As I have reflected on this past year of starting up what is now Picture Popeck I have thought about two things pretty consistently:

My love for photography, and my love for my Grandpa Bob.

If you had the privilege of meeting my grandfather, I’d be willing to bet money that he made ya laugh.

When I think about my Grandpa Bob I can clearly see him to this day with a ball cap on and doing one of two things: standing on a ladder or taking a photo.

Growing up, my grandfather was so fascinated with the world and people around him. His love for capturing it all, found its way to my uncle, and eventually found its way to me!

I started @picturepopeckphotography on a whim. Not much thought behind it other than: I’ve got a “real” camera now (shout out dad for the grad gift!), and enough passion from being the “photo friend” growing up to get me here!

One of the coolest things I’ve learned throughout this first year, is that somewhere along the lines this whole thing could be considered “innate”. Not sure that I’ll ever give myself credit, but I do know learning about my own Grandpa Bobs photography journey has given and reminded me of the encouraging, driving force that he was and still is, in me.

How cool is it that we still get to share something before meeting again on the other side of Heaven!

@picturepopeckphotography was started by me, and encouraged by my Grandpa Bob Popeck. ✨
