Merrimack ‘ 32

I am extremely excited and humbled to announce my commitment to play Division 1 lacrosse at Merrimack College and continue my academic and athletic career.

First, I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and allowing me to be in this position. None of this would be possible without Him.

Secondly, I want to thank both of my parents for putting so much time, love, and effort into shaping me into the person I am today. Thank you for the countless hours spent supporting my development, training, traveling, and being there through every step of the way throughout this journey.

I also want to thank my three siblings for all your sacrifices and countless hours of driving me to training and the field. I’m incredibly lucky to have you all in my corner!

I’m also grateful for my friends and teammates and the way we challenge each other to improve and bring out the best in one another.

A huge thanks to my Be The Best coaches, Coach Dan, Coach Pete, Coach Reynolds, and Coach Taylor. Thank you for your knowledge, guidance and belief in me, and for helping me grow both as a player and a person, on and off the field.

I also want to thank my Lindenhurst coaches, Coach Mac, Coach Connell, and Coach Snyder for pushing me to be my best and always believing in me. I appreciate everything you have done for me throughout my high school career.

Thank you to Steve Sloma at GLE for pushing me to improve, helping me develop my skills, and challenging me to become a better player.

Lastly, I want to thank all of the coaches at Merrimack College, Coach Sciamanna, Coach Diantkis, Coach Thomas! Thank you for believing in me, giving me this incredible opportunity, and welcoming me into the Merrimack family. Go Warriors!

Congratulations to Collin Smith (Hilton High School) on his recent commitment to Merrimack College!

Smith is our 36th commit in the 2028 class and we couldn’t be more excited for him and this America East opportunity. Collin is quick on his feet and a physical defender; he communicates constantly with teammates, anticipates plays before they develop, and delivers hard, clean checks that make opponents think twice about driving to the cage. Whether scooping ground balls, forcing turnovers, or protecting the crease, Collin brings intensity and toughness to the field everytime.

Congratulations to Collin and the entire Smith family. Go Warriors!
