CLIENT SPOTLIGHT! Must Read! @merubin3 Seven years ago at the age of 53 I was diagnosed with MS. PT wasn’t working for me, so when HUMC Fitness & Wellness opened I decided to join and give it a try. Divine intervention sent Maggie to me. As the trainer evaluator she suggested a few Personal Training sessions to help me get started - 7 years later and we’re still at it. Maggie has been my trainer and champion, having me do things I do not think I can do because she knows it will be good for me. We’ve trained in the pool, on the gym floor and on the Reformer. When Covid hit and the gym closed I didn’t know what would happen. Thankfully, Maggie turned to Zoom. Now she opened Pre Hab Pilates. Two days a week we train together - I love that the workouts are tailored to me but still challenging. I remember the first time we went into the Reformer room at the gym - I was sure that there was no way I was going to be able to do this. With Maggie’s help and encouragement I finally got the hang of it and feel confident when strapped into the reformer. I love that when I get off the reformer my body feels both loose and strong. Five years ago the doctor was sure that I would be using a cane or worse be in a wheelchair. Working with Maggie twice a week has literally been a life changer. Recently I went to the doctor and he could not believe how strong my leg muscles are. Meryl #ms #pilates #pilatesreformer #prehabpilates
