doing more writing on substack. When you get a chance, you should read this and let me know what you think. I am beginning a book about dying to self. This comes after learning the hard way what self denial looks and feels like. Peter's reluctancy for Jesus to go to Jerusalem and his rebuke of such a notion was the echo of Satan's temptation in the wilderness. In return, Jesus's response wa the same. And the call that followed - deny yourself, take up your cross, follow me. If you want to save your life, you will lose it. If you commit to lose your life, you will save it. This upside-down dichotomized salvation determine my thy will be done over mine. (Visit substack for the entire article. link in bio)

As I finish this chapter of living in Orange County, I am saddened to leave what I’ve been apart of. It is an honor to be called pastor. It’s not something I take lightly. To move out of state was not an easy decision to make, yet I know Gods hand is on my life. This is a love letter to my friends and churches.
Church, thank you. Thank you for pouring into me. Thank you for teaching me. Thank you for giving me access. Thank you for letting me grow into a leader. I prayed over all of you at 4 am after work this past Sunday. You all mean the world to me.
Mesa City Church, you are my first church. The first church I was called pastor. The first church I got to be apart of starting. I pray for your growth. I pray that you reach the lost. I pray that the mission and identity of helping people understand the scripture continues forth. Keep going strong. I know Pastor Michael is going to be absolutely phenomenal as he has been. We have never been people to stay to ourselves but are people that welcome and invite. That is beautiful. Lean onto Christ always.
Canopy church, our friendship has been short but I have felt the love. Pastor Brian you are a wonderful man and friend. Thank you for sitting down with me and having tacos. I have never met someone who felt so calm and at peace. Thank you.
Garden, you have done well. Thank you for letting me lead for a season of life. It has been an honor to see what had taken place.
Harbor light church, also a short but special friendship. Pastor Jonathan, you have cared so deeply for this community. I’m so excited to see where you land your planes and the ground you cover. You have inherited a historical landmark. The church is so beautiful and caring here.
Cornerstone, I have held my longest church membership here while being in Orange County. This place has a special place in my heart. Pastors Gary, Eliot, and Nile all have done an amazing job stewarding this community. It was an honor to be a leader and receive my credentials as a minister while here. Thank you for taking care of me. For being my family.
SoCal network, you have ran my life for eleven years now. I will miss you.
Blessings,
Anthony

What a privilege to witness the baptism of these two. I’m crying just writing this. But @goboii_nz @inzone_productsandpaint I am so proud of you brother. The decision to get baptized is a big step for a follower. I am proud to call you my brother. I am proud of the man that you are becoming. It was an honor to be the last person the old you saw when going into the water and the first person the new you saw when coming out. That just blows my mind that I got this big of an honor, thank you so much.

The second person in the video is his mom, Mary. This is so special as we believe Jesus can heal generations. A mother and son getting baptized together, wow!!! To Mary, you have been very kind to me every time I have met you. Thank you for being an encouragement to my friend.

I am excited to see what the journey now holds for these two.

We want to invite you. If you sing or have a music talent please reach out to our team to join us on Sunday mornings. We are looking forward to hearing and seeing you around!

This is Alia Grove one of our worship leaders. She has been killing it in worship. She had a tender heart for ministry and expanding the kingdom of God!

Today started our series in the book of Romans. Paul says that he is "not ashamed of the gospel." This is because he understands that the brokenness, and painful parts of our story come to life when met with the beauty of Jesus. So he has no reason to hold onto shame. Bobby has the same story. And so can you! come join us on Sunday mornings at 10am in the Needham Chapel on Vanguard Campus (55 Fair Drive) to find out how to live a life free of shame! #occhurches #costamesachurch #orangecountychurch #aplaceofbecoming #mesacitychurch
