Was going back thru some of the original posts on my personal account and can’t get over how crazy (and bad) some of these string jobs were. Stiffis with double trads, and @wazzupsavo Savo mesh, o channel bags, pinched Stx Profiles, etc. Back when stringing was fun. Back when you couldn’t wait to get your hands on a head and some sort of materials, didn’t matter if it was hard mesh, shitty leathers, anything. I remember using a belt as a center track in one of my heads. Always trying to push boundaries, see what worked, what didn’t work. It was always fun. Not sure if anyone else feels this way, but sometimes for me personally I get in a rut where stringing just doesn’t do it for me and it isn’t fun. Sometimes I’ll be scrolling the app and just see every stick strung to the inside and it feels like if you’re not stringing your sticks to the inside, they’re garbage. Or scrolling and seeing a lot of accounts that will post the exact same pocket in every post. Or companies coming out with 2nd and 3rd versions of heads that will basically be the same as every other head out there. Cookie cutter heads, cookie cutter stringing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to rip down any person, account, company etc, anyone can do what they want. I guess all im trying to say is that I miss lacrosse stringing when we had weird shit to try out. The @stxmlax Arrow, or the @warriorlax Ti line with titanium rods in the heads. Tribe7 heads. Even when Brine came out with the Multi coloured Clutch 2’s, that shit blew my mind. Savo Mesh, @jimalaxhq Ruby Mesh, MetaMorphMesh etc. Does anyone else get in a stringing funk or am I the only one who couldn’t be bothered because it feels like a chore?

Well boys... We’ve reached the end. HighSierraStrings as a company is finally closing down for good, however, I do still have items to sell. This account will be operational through the end of the year, so stay tuned for some insane deals in November/December. I appreciate all of the support and all of the great friends/connections I made during my time running this account. The lacrosse community is truly something special and I will always stay close to it. Playing the game will never get old. I hope the next generation of innovators is just as exciting as the people surrounding me were!! I loved all of the adventures that this company brought me, including going to LaxCon and hosting StringOff! So many people provided their support and trust to me, allowing me to grow as a company and as an individual.

Here’s a little recap of the last two high school seasons: We lost one game in my junior year of high school and two games in my senior year, but won the state championship both years. The lacrosse community in Arizona is growing exponentially and I can’t wait to see how big it is in 10 years! I’m now headed to Southern Methodist University in Dallas to pursue a business degree. Feel free to follow my personal (@brookslange) if you want to stay up-to-date with my life.

I appreciate all of you so much! Thank you for making this company so important and meaningful. It’s crazy to see how things have changed over the 6 years that HSS has been operational. Thank you, and see you in November!! 😝

#TBT to the classic Magic series- this very lightly used @brinelacrosse M1 showed up the other day. One of my favorites from HS. Trying to decide if I should try to make the semi-wonky 4 string trad work, or install @themeshdynasty #rekoilmesh or #forcemesh, or my own trad? What say you #lacrosse folks?
