For my 14th Instagram anniversary, I thought it was about time I reintroduce myself. This is way more scary for me than posting scantily clad photos of myself. At least with the pics, I can hide behind performance 😂

I’m a very different person to who I was back then. I somehow accumulated my following through a mixture of modelling, acting, singing, events, pageantry, scandals… the list goes on! So if you can’t remember why you originally ended up here, that’s completely okay.

As we all know, times have changed. Back in 2012, social media was all about showcasing the highlights and not airing your dirty laundry for all to see.

Over the years my page has naturally evolved into more of a personal account. Going forward I’ll be sharing the parts of my life that make up who I am today. Wedding planning. Health & fitness. Skincare. Travel. My music journey. Work. And whatever else life throws my way.

I’m not sure I’ll ever be ready to share every chapter of my life. But for now, here’s the real me.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank my OG followers who have stuck by me through every part of my journey so far. I see you! It genuinely makes me smile when I see your names pop up in the comments. Thank you for being here. 🖤

If you’re new here, hello! This post probably doesn’t make much sense to you 😂 But feel free to stick around for the journey. I’d love to have you.

Love always,

Val xx

DOWNLOAD 2026 WAS AWESOME 🔥

Between huge headliners like Linkin Park to smaller stages like Silent Planet, Boundaries and new exciting bands like Spitting Glass. There was so much to check out this year and it was tough putting them into only a top 10 list.

🎸STAFF TAKEOVER: VAL 🎸

A brilliant weekend representing @metallounge at @downloadfest 🤘

Interviewed artists, met loads of great people and somehow managed around 30k steps a day in the process.

Highlights included Linkin Park, Thrown, Paleface Swiss, Scooter (my 10 year old self was absolutely buzzing 😂), and meeting the lovely team at @joliebeauty

Now back to reality and I’m reminding myself why I’m never camping again. ⛺️

Fun fact : I originally wrote Chin Up Princess for a band I was in nearly 20 years ago 🙃 I recorded the original with the legend that is @danjlancaster before he was a mega 🌟

Getting to rework it in @dreamstateuk & record it independently ( again ) with the iconic @danjuela will be up there with a highlight of my musical journey 🧡

Still one of my favourite songs to sing live 🤘🏻EVER
