Check out our feature interview with @darealeddybz of @lupe_records here in the caption! ⬇️ ➡️ See our previous post for the images! 🗣️ Shoutout to all star producer @metatron915 ***** I caught up with Eddy Boy to ask him about his latest project titled, Gang Wave Radio, fully produced by the legendary Metatron. Swipe through these pictures to see what he has to say: RS: For people hearing your music for the first time, who is Eddy Boy beyond the rapper? EB: “Nas is Like” started playing in my head. Lol. A multi talented individual who dreams big. RS: The title of your EP, Gang Wave Radio, paints a picture. What does it mean, and what world were you trying to create? EB: I wanted to create a radio station caller request type vibe. Taking certain joints, flipping the beat, and then twisting the vision to whatever each beat told me to do. RS: What’s something listeners might miss if they only hear Gang Wave Radio one time? EB: The lyrics. The vibe. Nostalgia. You’ll miss the pictures | was painting in the songs. The structure. The concepts. RS: How did growing up in El Paso shape your music and the messages you put into it? EB: The El Paso upbringing (the culture, food, graffiti, street life, the people I connect with), but also it’s like I looked outward to find inspiration. I wanted to flip it. That’s what creates the different sound u hear. RS: What’s one misconception people have about El Paso’s Hip Hop scene? EB: That we all sound the same! Love ‘n respect to all the artists tryna make it, BUT WE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MUSIC! I promise. *Laughs RS: Thank you for making the time for this interview, lord! The project is super fire. Everything from the imagery you create, to the production by Metatron, and the Showrocka & Bo Dean features make things feel well thought out and on point. 🔥🎤🎶🔥💉💉💉 Rochester emcee @rigz585 and Da Cloth member drops his 5th solo project “Wake Ups” This man has been releasing EPs & mixtapes over the last 4 years prior to his critically acclaimed collab album with Mooch & Big Ghost Ltd. entitled The Only Way Out. Rigz released “I Got Samples’”(2017), “I Got Samples 2” (2018), Roach Gutta Slums (2019) fully produced by Chup, Then came Substance Abuse (2020) which was entirely produced by Futurewave & became one of the hardest albums of the year.
