For the past few months, I've gotten to work with the amazing team @backbonesoftware software, picking up the marketing ropes from the goat @rdfrancis, and learning about cannabis supply chain. 💥

A 'transparent supply chain' is the concept that any cannabis consumer, cannabis business or government agency should be able to know/see where any cannabis product originated, everywhere it goes afterwards, and the standards and conditions of those places.

Having this visibility allows consumers to make informed choices about their cannabis, and allows them to support businesses that align with their values whether it's shopping local, shopping organic, or shopping BIPOC-owned or equity. 📚

For cannabis businesses, tracking every step of their operation and building a transparent supply chain allows them to answer some REALLY important questions: Where has this cannabis been? Are we doing the environmentally sustainable thing? Are we buying from diverse suppliers? Are we keeping cannabis consumers safe? Are our standards so good, they'd be accepted internationally? What is this costing us? Are we profitable? 🧐

ALL of that information has to be tracked by technology that understands cannabis, and that can visualize an entire cannabis operation from end-to-end. And that's @backbonesoftware! 🚀
