A little tour of our Kebon Jeruk store.

New shoes up front.👟
A full wall of strings.🎾
Our stringer was at his bench, as always. He probably remembers your tension better than you do.👨🏻‍🍳
Then there’s the court, where you can try a racket before it goes home with you. Fair warning: the ball machine wins most rallies.🤩

Different corner of Jakarta, same Metro, since 1977.

If you’re in the area, drop by. Bring your racket‼️

🛑STOP GIVING AWAY FREE ATTACKS WITH A SHORT SERVE! 🎾

A short serve gives your opponents time and space to step in, attack early, and put you on the defense immediately.

Hit it deep instead. A deep serve, aiming right near the service line, forces your opponents back behind the glass. This buys you precious time to take the net, dictate the pace, and dominate the point from shot one 💥

Save this clip for your next match 📌 and send this to your padel partner so you both control the net from the start! 👇

Save this for your next match. Your bandeja doesn't need pro power. It needs to keep you at the net.

Pros get fast, low lobs and borrow that pace. In a club match the lob is usually high and slow. Hit that with a pro swing and it comes off their back glass. Easy ball for them, and you've lost the net.

The bandeja technique I teach instead:

1. Turn sideways early, before the ball drops.
2. Short backswing. No big wind-up.
3. Contact in front of you.
4. Aim low and deep. You're not trying to win the point. You're keeping the net.

I coach private padel lessons in Jakarta at Ascend Padel, from beginners to advanced players who feel stuck.

The secret to a high-bouncing Kick Smash isn’t arm strength—it’s kinetic transfer. ⚡

Most players force the smash with a stiff arm. Instead, master the sequence:

Grip: Lock in an Eastern Backhand grip to allow wrist snap and spin.

Drive: Load the right leg, bend the knees, and initiate the movement from the ground.

Transfer & Release: Shift power to the left side while keeping your arm dynamic and completely relaxed to brush the ball at contact.

Save this clip before your next session and tag your padel partner who needs a kick smash reset! 👇
