I.E: On july.31st I went to white waters (waterpark) in trans tape:) I had a blast, up until the end as I waited in line I was approached by 3 security guards. One of them alerts me that I am in violation of park rules. After failing to educate me on why my body covered was inappropriate, his superintendent got involved. Who also does a poor job of explaining how other shirtless people are acceptable , but my tape is not. He then resorts to informs me its about genetics not identity.. and that I must leave. I end up filling a complaint before I leave - with funnel cake in hand as that’s all I could do at the moment. Unfortunately these occurrences will continue to happen until these companies diversify their training/policies to include all people. Six flags/white waters loves to milk their “inclusivity” with pride celebrations, and queer nights. They do not represent inclusivity they represent corporate greed. As a Black Trans man I have been objectified my whole life.. this situation was nothing different, but it doesn’t make it right. These men who are trained could barely provide me a credible answer/ source nor look me in my eyes (as they tried to not stare at my chest) In the end I felt sexualized and uncomfortable. I am extremely disappointed. Trans people will continue to exists in all forms and spaces. #transmasc #transvisibility #transexistence #whitewaters #sixflags #transtape #blacktrans #transsummer #discrimination #sexualization #bodiesarebodies #Tranzsuperstarr #Queermouthpc
