The Blues travelled to Mesa and beat the SWRU D2 defending champ Red Mountains Warthogs. The Blues capitalized early off strong pressure, picking off a long pass and taking an early 7-0 lead. Maintaining the pressure, the Blues took a 31-17 lead into halftime. The 2nd half took on a more grinding pace where the Warthogs attacks succeeded in bringing the score to a one possession game twice. However, the Blues fought back both times scoring a response. Both occasions made it a two score game again with the last coming with about 6 mins remaining setting the final score at 45-31.

We'd like to thank Red Mountain for being great hosts on such a beautiful Saturday. We look forward to hosting them April 6th in Scottsdale. Up next the Blues host Las Vegas March 9th in a make-up game for one rained out earlier this year.

LIFE UPDATE: 7 years ago I came out to Boise to start my undergraduate degree. Not knowing anyone out here other than the family I already had here. I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to work with the football team during that time and do what most kids dreamed of. This city and these people are truly special and I’m thankful for every second I had here in Boise and everyone I met along the way. This city taught me to stand on my own two feet and helped me become who I am today.

With that being said I’m moving onto the next chapter in my life chasing this dream. I’m extremely excited to say I’ve accepted an internship with University of Maryland football strength and Conditioning staff…. IM COMING HOME!! #FEARTHETURTLE🐢 KEEP SWINGING

The Blues brought the fight @temperugby_official this afternoon. Despite falling 34-22, the game was a lot closer than the final score and the Blues have set a good preseason baseline.
Going toe to toe physically and structurally with Tempe, the Blues proved they could hang with a high quality D2 squad and given a couple bounces could have come out triumphant. The Blues play @rugby_asu next Friday night in Tempe and love your continued support. We'd like to thank our sponsors, @state48lagerhouse & @cheatcode.clothing . Here's to the start of a great season.
