I’d actually met Emma before when she bought a bracelet from me, so it was fun randomly running into her again. I loved how her look felt dark and edgy while still keeping a real sense of whimsy. The skeleton tights, fluffy tail, and giant heart earrings gave the outfit this playful sense of humour that made it feel really personal, not just another alt-style copycat.

I think fashion is sometimes at its best when it doesn’t take itself too seriously. There was something really fun about the contrast between the darker gothic elements and the more whimsical details. It made the whole look feel expressive, self-aware, and very her.

One of my favourite things about taking photos is realizing how small the world is. You randomly cross paths with someone once, then suddenly run into them again taking photos together at night.
