Yesterday Peyton and I spent some time at the Eaton center. Looking for Christmas ideas. Of course we needed a midday, coffee and snack. Dineen’s never disappoints. it was warm enough to sit outside and enjoy our pecan butter tart square and a lemon oat square.
Adri spent the afternoon doing homework, but we met up to go for supper at a favourite on the Danforth - Mezes.

The girls had drinks and we shared copious amounts of some of the best Greek food in the city. If you go getting the dip, sharing plate is a requirement. There is tzatziki is hands-down the best I’ve ever had. also, always on our list is saganaki (Kefalograviera cheese, flambéed brandy at your table). We also shared the trio of pies (Sample all of our pites: one spanakopita, one tirokafteropita, and one pantzaropita) I really love the tirokafteropita (cheese and hot peppers).
For entrees we shared the chicken souvlaki platter, fried Kalamari and Octapodi Skaras (grilled octopus). We made sure to order enough tzatziki for the girls to have leftovers!
After dinner, the girls came back to my hotel for a quick swim.

Join us as we explore restaurants in Toronto with our newborn in tow ✨

This time, we’re taking on the Danforth and visiting one of our faves. We love the vibe and the food here, and there’s a large covered patio where a stroller can easily be accommodated. Their mains are great, but this time, we were in the mood to order a bunch of mezes.

What we ordered:
🍷 Assyrtiko wine - a must order. Dry, crisp, and refreshing
🧀🔥 Saganaki - Opa! You can’t go to a Greek restaurant without ordering Saganaki and this hit the spot
🥩 Keftedes - homemade meatballs with a tomato sauce
🍆 Melitzanes Tiganites - fried eggplant sprinkled with Kefalograviera cheese
🫘 Gigantes - my absolute fave meze here. Giant Lima beans slow-cooked in a tomato sauce
🫛 Fasolakia Lemonata - green bean salad with olive oil and lemon, which was a good, healthy side dish
