About a year and a half ago, I was surprise-gifted a 1966 Hasselblad 500C by a very kind father of the groom who noticed how much I loved shooting film and decided to raise the stakes a bit (shoutout Tom 📢)

I hadn’t dabbled in the medium format world yet, so I was afraid to breathe on this camera, let alone take photos with it. I let it sit on a shelf for months like a tiny museum artifact before finally deciding to bring it to my friends at Dodd to help me load a roll and see what it could do (🤝 @bixisinpfl + Eric).

Fast forward⏩ I’ve been shooting with this 60 year old camera for just over a year now, and it’s been everywhere with me. Every film roll still feels a little experimental in the best way.

These are the film stocks I’ve tried so far. My favorites are probably glaringly obvious.. Medium format shooters- what film stocks do I need to try next??
