This has been such a quick process as I had a ton of excess vintage in storage. Well the decorating that is, lugging all the furniture to the third floor was a bit of a task. The tree did have a decapitation I don’t think of fondly. But finally ready to get back to the thing I love most. CERAMIC DROP in the works, October 11th there will be a lot of newness 🤍

Finally getting back to the studio and have been working on two new collections. Have been so excited to share. Due to some kiln/ firing difficulties I am pushing the drop date. Rock collection will drop October 11th!

Thank you to everyone that has been supporting me for the last six years I’ve had my small business. Being able to be a full time artist these last six years has been a real test, that said I am hoping to continue to grow🫶🏻

Lots of love,
Maya

Some items that have had me in a chokehold and inspired me to make art inspired by them 🫶🏻

If you know any of the artists/ photographers please tag them or message me and I will add their tag! 🤍

I might just recreate this exact painting for my living room because it overwhelms my system with calm.

I saw this in a gallery a few months back and ONE DAY I will make its twin.

No explanation needed.

Year of the horse am I right?

New collection of these coming out the 27th! @mfc.studio

I mean, come on.

Have been thinking about this shell in my dreams in my dreams. Inception dreams of this shell.

She’s the moment.

Imagine the warm light that comes off of this puppy.

Y’all ate up the bedroom series so I thought I’d post the bathroom details. This was the only room in this reno I barely touched.

Next I’m redoing the home studio and then living room. Do you want to see the process or finished product?

@sezane was kind enough to send me this jewelry holder way back, and it is one of my favorite items I’ve ever owned. As are these fake tulips and keeping my Erewhon bottle close.

DIY lighter by moi and two candles that match the walls.

@oseamalibu used to spoil me rotten.

The old Aesop manager and me shutters and the alignment of these labels. Vintage hand blown glass>

Vintage glass (mouthwash) canister was $5, I’ll brag about that until the end of time. And two @mfc.studio objects.

Thank you so much for being here. Building a home is important to me for so many reasons. Will get into that more very soon, since people seem curious why I pour money into a rental 🫶🏻

And RIP @dollyparton the realest, most iconic woman to do the damn thing.

Since there are a lot of new faces I thought I would re-introduce myself and show a peak behind the curtain 🤍

When I say shoe string I also mean scrappy. I made the wall textile, the shelving units, the desk and the board above it. What I can do with the lumber section at Lowe’s would shock you 🤍 Any tips you’d like lmk 🤍

Today I remembered that I opened a storefront in LA. And it made so many things feel possible. I so badly want to open another space, under better circumstances for hosting and forming community in the ways I hoped this place could have. I feel very lucky to have taught a few classes that brought some life into this space. To all the people I hugged, sat with for hours opening up so deeply on our very first meeting, laughed with, got to dress, got to teach. So many of you keep in touch in ways that have stuck with me, in ways I could never express my gratitude for. What a beautiful first go at something I know is still growing inside my brain. To the people that made sure their dog would come say hi to me every single day, you are the real heroes.
