What am I going to tell my children when they ask what I used to do for a living?

Well… I poured shots into people’s mouths. Sometimes into their eyes by accident (sorry if you’re reading this and that happened to you).

Me subía a las barras a bailar. Not like a stripper, of course. I’m not that kind of mom.
Mojaba a la gente con agua mineral, hielo, champagne, y si había manguera… pues también con manguera, apparently. (That was a new one.)
I made really goood cocktails, but I always knew the best part wasn’t the drinks. It was being behind the bar with my team, my Fred and my friends.

Amor, you can live a whole lifetime in a single day and not even realize it. Sometimes, that’s as good as life gets.
Abre bien los ojos.

Of course, I’m going to tell them about this night.

Sometimes it’s hard to explain what we do, or how any of it ties into culture. Maybe you can feel it in these photos, but I think you had to be there.

Bring together your closest colleagues. Put the music on. Invite your friends. See what happens. That’s a parranda.
A big part of that is @amoresnyc , whose energy and huge heart has become a cornerstone of whatever the hell it is that were trying to do here.

It all feels a little ridiculous and hugely important at the same time which is exactly where I want to be.

A huge thank you to @ricardonavam @yayo_nm @nielwuflo @ivymix @klawklaw @alejaguinaga @ducksophie to the crew at @budripsnola and everyone eho shared the night with us. And to @lalospirits and @ohheyplayer , thank you for giving us the freedom to simply be ourselves. 📸 @prezzato
