Auction closes 27th of September: The MGA was born out of two strands of activity; one was the American’s discovery of British sports cars in the years after the Second World War with the car responsible for that being the MG TC of 1945-1950.

The second was MG’s quest to be recognized as a serious sports car maker which meant that the company needed to be involved in motorsport and such things as setting speed and endurance records.

The MGA design dates back to 1951, when MG designer Syd Enever created a streamlined body for George Philips' TD Le Mans car. The new bodywork traded the MG TF's articulated fenders and running board for ponton styling, with a single styled envelope fully enclosing the width and uninterrupted length of a car.

The MGA remains a timeless classic till Today.

Four years ago today, Dodo passed away. With #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek in mind, I'm sharing the last minute of a video that mum and I put together about how Frisky has changed our lives over the decades – from Dodo, to mum and now, to me. At the end, there's a little piece of advice from a man that lived for 92 years. I hope, in some way, that it might help someone who's feeling a little disheartened

Thanks too, must be said to the MG Car Club in Victoria, Australia, who invited us to join them for 'party pies' and wine on this poignant anniversary. They inspired us to put the video together, which was aired this morning on the other side of the world. That's pretty darn swell if you ask me, and if you'd like to see the full version, please let me know and I'll post it on YouTube

Looking for some inspiration for the @gentlemansride this May? The particularly distinguished fellow centre frame is @mganorak’s Grandfather, complete with bow tie and flat cap.

Can anyone help identify the bikes in the pic - @thevintagent, I’m looking at you!

Thanks for sharing @mganorak.
