I can’t even to begin to describe how proud I am of Nelson last weekend at I intercollegiate champs! 🎉🎉🎉 Not only was this our first recognized event, it was also the furthest Nelson has ever travelled and the first time we’ve ever shown out of state! Nelson put down a beautiful dressage test (despite me messing up the test) and ran through cross country so brave and confidently! I think it’s safe to say Nelson loves being an event horse and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish with @eventingatvirginiatech in the fall!

We had such a great time in the Eventing in Virginia Spring Jumper Derby at VHC last Saturday!! I couldn’t be prouder of how brave Nelson was with our first jumper derby and his first time seeing beginner novice xc fences! Nelson jumped clear in the optimum time round taking the blue and helping us get reserve champion in beginner novice! What a great show to prepare us for intercollegiate champs 🔜🔜🔜
