IRENA Youth Forum 2026 🌍✨

الحمد لله على الخطوات التي تبدأ إيمانًا وتُستكمل مسؤولية 🤲🏻

Some moments feel quietly defining. Participating in the IRENA Youth Forum 2026 as an IRENA Youth Delegate representing Algeria 🇩🇿 reminded me that impact doesn’t always announce itself; sometimes it unfolds through presence, listening, and intention.

Being in a space where global energy and sustainability conversations take shape, surrounded by diverse youth voices from around the world, brought clarity to the role we carry: to represent, to contribute, and to turn ideas into action.

It’s moments like these that remind me that growth isn’t always loud; sometimes, it’s realizing you’re standing exactly where your younger self once imagined.

Feeling incredibly grateful and inspired after an unforgettable experience at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week with the @youth4sustainability family! This journey has been so much more than just learning about sustainability—it has been about growth, connection, and gaining a deeper appreciation for culture, community, and purpose.

A huge thank you to Y4S for an incredible year-long program and to @masdar for making it all possible. Y4S it’s a transformative initiative that empowers young leaders to create real impact in sustainability. The knowledge, perspectives, and experiences I’ve gained through this program have shaped me in ways I never expected, and I am beyond thankful for the opportunity.

What truly made this experience unforgettable were the people. I have met some of the most incredible individuals—strangers who have become dear friends. The conversations, the shared passion, and the moments of learning together have been invaluable. A special thank you to @h.bastaki for sharing your culture with us in such a beautiful and personal way. Your dedication to everything you do is truly inspiring.
From traditions to values, I have learned so much about the UAE’s rich heritage in such a short time, and I’m incredibly grateful for it. And to @ahmed.baja , who accompanied us on so many of our adventures, making every experience even more meaningful. The warmth, generosity, and deep-rooted hospitality of this culture have truly left a lasting impression on me.

During Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, we presented our project ‘Noor’ at the Y4S pavilion. This hybrid solution, developed with my team and Rubu’ Qarn Technology and Science Center, aims to help solve Nigeria’s energy crisis. Noor provides a simple and affordable power solution for rural areas, helping students move away from harmful kerosene lamps. We chose to invest in students because we followed the footsteps of Baba Zayed’s vision, who believed that investing in youth is the best investment. By empowering students, we aim to ensure they will be the ones to develop and transform Nigeria’s future.

I was honored to showcase ‘Noor’ to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, along with other esteemed guests. It was an honor to explain how our small idea can create a big impact, and their encouragement was truly inspiring.
