JULY EDITION – OUT NOW

Your mission this July, should you choose to accept it, is to spark up a conversation with a stranger at a gig. Adelaide’s music scene is only as magic as the connections we make in it, and nothing beats the winter woes like a new mate, or warm interaction. Get out there, build your community!

// In July’s mag, we did a bit of connection building of our own. We nerded out with @wolfaliceband’s drummer Joel Amey about all the incredible alt-rock acts Australia has to offer, in between chats about their latest record The Clearing and their whirlwind ride over the past 12 months.

// Next it was Australia’s own art-punk icons @tropical_fuck_storm we connected with over how sick it is that Adelaide @beerandbbqfest is back this July 10-11! Beer, as they say, is the lifeblood of the band, so they’ll fit in juuust right.

// US act @princedaddyandthehyena also opened up about how world-building is a central part of the band’s identity. Coming over to Australia for the first time, the band are keen as to play @jivevenue this month.

In The Green Room Ella yapped about her journey platforming South Aussie music through @pocketrockitaus and upcoming 1 Year gig, and rock-funk outfit @brokenwaves_band tapped into their inner groove with new single ‘UNLUCKY!’ and launch at @oddiobowden this month. We review tracks from @lilli_fulwood_music @streetlegalau @tusharmusicaus @dropsink.adl @madcuppas & @heyitsaaliyahhh, give you a map of Beer & BBQ Fest, let you in on the recent goss in music news, new music and gigs in SA, show you some sick snaps from @mharidougal & @jydnforreal, unpack @northernsoundsystem’s awesome offerings and SO! MUCH! MORE!

Find us at your favourite watering hole, record store, café, Zambies and hundreds of other venues this month. Head to the link in our bio to find your closest stockist!
