Moody, modern, and made for relaxing. Sherwin Williams Cascades adds depth and drama to the paneled wall in the basement living room. Paired with warm brass and natural textures, it’s the perfect backdrop for game nights, movie marathons, and the occasional ‘leave mom alone’ moment.

Enter the living room.

Basement goals, make it bold..
We used Sherwin-Williams Cascades on the paneling and a deep green tile from TileBar for a cohesive, modern feel. The built-in desk and mini fridge make this space both functional and easy to hang in. Finished off with a brass and white wall sconce for a warm, simple accent.

These black doors have just a hint of purple in it. When David was painting it, he was a little scared because it was PURPLE, but it dried this beautiful color, which complements the warm tones of the floor, lights, and wall. Sherwin Williams #sw6988 #BohemianBlack

Here, the door opens up to our clients office. The office walls were finished with limewash paint by our clients, who were excited to give it a try.

Limewash is a natural, breathable paint that adds a beautifully weathered, chalky texture and timeless character to any space.

It’s been a while, but we’re finally getting around to sharing two full basement remodels! First up: this stunning design by Melissa Hill Rees, @mhillrees.interiors

In this shot, we’re looking into the living room from the hallway. This remodel included an office, living room, bathroom, and workout room—bringing function and style to the space.

Our clients were fantastic and even took on some DIY projects, which I’ll be showcasing later. One of the client’s dads, who’s in his 80s, originally wanted to take on the entire basement himself but knew bringing in a contractor was the right call. We still left a few projects for him—like the railing in the living room.

R E S T. We all need it. I highly recommend swindling your friends to take a road trip with you across the boarder to galavant around a thermal spa in 10 degree weather...in robes. No coats 😂 From saunas to hot baths and cold plunges, it was EVERYTHING we needed.
