15 years ago, I wanted to change lives.
I didn’t know how much they would change mine. 🤍

قبل ١٥ عامًا، كان حلمي أن أغيّر حياة الآخرين.
لم أكن أعلم كم ستغيّر تلك السنوات حياتي. 🤍

I spent years becoming the person I thought I was supposed to be. Then I started becoming myself.

Maybe life was never about having the right answers for my endless questions.
Maybe it was about learning what deserves our attention.
Love. People. Connection.

Maybe that is why I never understood the obsession with putting people into boxes.
And never wanted a label before a person.
18 years old.

A piece of paper in my hands,
and the feeling that maybe my voice could matter.
‎شو طايفتك؟ ما خصك

Years later. Same instinct.
Show up.
But now I understand that politics is rarely just about what you see.
It is history, power, identity, institutions and specially narratives.

And Somewhere between Fairuz, Ziad Rahbany, politics and a fire…
I remember why I love conversations that don’t have an ending.

Maybe because I read.
I question.
I write things.
It’s an obsession …that I like.

And then there is Lebanon.
My other obsession.
I don’t think I can put Lebanon into a box either.
All of it feels like home.
I’m from the North, I live and work around it’s centre, and I’m deeply connected to the South.

For some, home is a city/village. Sometimes, it’s a family.
And sometimes, it’s a dog who thinks he’s the head of the family.

A dog who somehow gets into historical sites…

And then there are the people who remind you that life isn’t only about who you become. It’s also about who comes after you.
I used to carry him as a baby and will always carry him.
Now he’s a teenager who can probably beat me at almost everything. But still.. I will always carry You habibi.

That’s what growing up did to my eyes.

But you always need a little ridiculousness.

And after all the thinking, questioning, arguing, reading, remembering and becoming…
Do not forget to smile. Maybe that’s the whole point.

Growing up doesn’t mean killing the teenager inside you.
I think it means giving him more reasons to dance.

Challenge the mind.
Rewire the mind.

Smile and Keep the soul spiritually curious.

🌷Life is a color palette..
But we don’t just match colors. We match energy.

A night made of love, memories, and familiar faces.
May your homes be filled with warmth, your hearts with peace, and your lives with health and happiness.
