Happy National Black Business Month ✨🎉🫶🏾

Last year, we celebrated Black beauty builders.

This year, we’re still celebrating them, but we’re also doubling down on our commitment to helping founder-led beauty brands make smarter growth decisions.

Every strategy session. Every campaign. Every introduction. Every conversation.

It’s all in service of helping founders build brands that people remember and businesses built to last

Here’s to celebrating the founders shaping the future of beauty, this month and every month 💕

August is Black Business Month—a time to celebrate heritage, resilience, and the magic that happens when you back a dream. At DEHIYA, our products carry centuries of African ritual beauty, a Moroccan daydream, and the promise of clean, plant-powered transformation.

We're asking you to do more than shop, we're asking you to show up, shout it from the rooftops, and support, support, support.

You are fueling a small Black-owned business so we can keep innovating multi-tasking skincare.

Turn every purchase into a statement of solidarity.

Together, we rise—one ritual at a time.

Still dreaming about the colors, scents, and sun-soaked magic of Morocco. 🇲🇦

After living abroad and studying under a 4th generation herbalist, our Founder Dr. Mia Chase Reddy was inspired to create DEHIYA -- a love letter to African ritual beauty.

Rooted in Africa. Imagined in Morocco. Micro-batched in Southern California.

Step into the timeless artistry of Fes, where clay transforms into culture! These handcrafted pieces tell stories dating back centuries, rooted in the heart of Moroccan tradition.

In this artisan workshop, generations of potters have mastered the delicate balance between heritage and creativity, shaping unique treasures like the iconic tagine and vibrant ceramics. Did you know Fes pottery uses a unique white clay from nearby valleys, giving it its distinct color and durability?

When you visit, not only can you witness this magic, but you can also try your hand at the pottery wheel, connecting deeply with Morocco’s cultural soul.

This picture was taken inside the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca and it’s one of my favorites of Soufian and me together. I met Soufian, whom I fondly refer to as The Herbalist, in 2015 in the mellah (Jewish Quarter) in Marrakech. I was walking through the stalls where all the shopkeepers would stand outside their doors soliciting passerby to come inside. I was polite but kept it moving. I happened upon Soufian’s (century-old) apothecary where he was standing outside like the rest but when he spoke to me, it was not to sell me something. His approach was different. He is a 4th generation Herbalist. I was impressed.

Hey y’all! It’s been a minute & I just wanted to stop in and say hi and tell you what we are all about…
My goal in creating DEHIYA was simple yet profound—to craft minimal, multi-functional, ritual beauty products. From creating micro moments to royal rituals, everything about DEHIYA is a celebration of clean and modern aesthetics deeply rooted in heritage and culture. It’s an homage to ancestral rituals and a commitment to cultural continuity that I believe everyone who loves minimal, conscious, clean beauty can appreciate.

The DEHIYA range is a personal reflection of what I hold dear in my own beauty ritual. With a skin-first philosophy and a love for playing with color, I set out to create hues that are not just cosmetic but serve as skincare. Our commitment lies in using high-quality, natural, and conscious ingredients sustainably sourced throughout the Diaspora.

Thank you for being a part of this journey and embracing the essence of DEHIYA—where beauty is a celebration of heritage, culture, and conscious living.

Xx, Dr. Mia
