POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A few days ago I was standing on a beach in Puerto Vallarta celebrating my cousin’s wedding with family and friends.

A few days later…

I was attempting to run a 100K (62 miles).

Glory to God.

Less than two weeks ago one of my buddies mentioned the SOB 50K in Ashland. When I looked it up, I saw they also had a 100K option.

That scared me.

The thought of attempting 62 miles through the mountains, at altitude, with almost no specific training, all while having a Mexico trip right in the middle of it.

So…

I signed up anyway.

One day I’m on a beach in Mexico.

A few days later I’m deep in the mountains, alone with my thoughts, trying to silence the voice in my head telling me to quit.

That voice was loud the entire time.

Then the stomach bug hit.

Despite giving everything I had, I missed the final aid station cutoff, threw in the towel, and came up just short.

Of course I wanted to finish.

But honestly, I learned more from not finishing than I probably would have if I had.

This race reminded me that failure isn’t the opposite of success. Sometimes it’s part of it.

You can’t run away from self-doubt.

You have to outwork it.

Follow Jesus.

Find the purpose God has for your life.

Work hard.

Stay humble.

Do hard things on purpose.

You don’t have to run 62 miles, but I do challenge you to do something that scares you.

You might surprise yourself.

Here’s a fresh cut to start the day 💈

Super grateful for all the new people that have sat in my chair recently and the growth I’ve made in the past few months 🙏🏻
That being said there’s still so much to learn and achieve.
I can’t wait to see what comes in 2026

I’ve never believed in New Year’s resolutions. Real change isn’t seasonal it’s rooted.

Moving into 2026, my focus is simple: immerse myself in God’s Word, remember that I was never meant to do life alone, and stay humble enough to learn from those who’ve walked further than me.

Brotherhood, faith, and hardship have taught me more than comfort ever could. I’m thankful for the difficult seasons as they reveal what needs to change and who I need to become.

A few lessons 2025 taught me that I’ll carry forward:
1. Don’t sacrifice deep joy for cheap thrills.
2. Stay a student and seek wisdom from those with greater experience and perspective.
3. Be grateful for the hardest seasons; when approached with the right mindset, pain and suffering always produce growth.

Still learning. Still grateful. Standing firm. I’m blessed for what I have! God’s plan is greater than mine and I’m so excited to keep growing!
