I’m going to be so honest right now, I hate saying goodbyes, I think that I’m just terrible at them. It took me so long to make this post because I couldn’t even get the right words out of my chest the correct way, but I’m going to try anyway.

To all the incredible people tagged on this post and all of those who I’ve come across during my time in Orlando, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. You don’t know how grateful I am for having met you and for making my three years in Orlando a truly special experience.

From 2021 to 2024, I made so many new special friends, actually… family members, that I will keep in my heart forever and always. I tried new foods (curtesy of the incredible chef Ally 🫶🏼 and huey magoo’s 😭), I worked different types of jobs, and got to live out my dreams of working in film (which is a dream that I will always keep working towards). I learned so many life lessons, reconnected with a few old friends, traveled abroad, expanded my cultural knowledge and just got to participate in so many incredible adventures. I literally even watched a rocket fly into space!!! Also, I got to go to urgent care for the very first time (that’s when I truly felt like I was adulting hahaha).

The funny thing is that when I was younger I always dreamed that I wanted to live in Orlando, for the same reason that many kids do, but I never thought that it was going to become an actual reality that turned out even better than I had ever dreamed of.

Now I’m at an exciting new chapter in my life that I know for a fact I would not have achieved without accepting that very… very late admission offer from UCF and taking that two and a half hour flight to Orlando in August 2021. So I want to end this post with this… when you think that things aren’t going your way, or that they are taking longer than usual, trust me, they will happen, they will come. Things happen for a reason, life makes you wait a little longer for a reason, and that is okay. I can promise you that new and exciting things are out there for all of us and will continue to happen to us. They just need to happen at the right time.

¡Los quiero mucho! 🩷

(ps. shout out to kai and boca 🐾❤️)
