“Welcome to Stones Throw, Josh da Costa (@ballbuyer). You might know Josh from his bands CMON and Regal Degal, or maybe you’ve checked out his @nts_radio show Confusing Mix. “Skygirl” is the first taste from his solo debut – streaming everywhere and on a limited 7” with unreleased song “Proving Me Right”.

Josh says: “Skygirl” is “a blissed out guitar frenzy that evokes a lot of feelings I’ve had since I was a kid, watching shows like The Adventures of Pete & Pete and listening to Nirvana and The Smashing Pumpkins and The Stone Roses. This is my attempt to fuse those things into something that could fit at home on Flying Nun Records alongside bands like The Clean and Chug and Bird Nest Roys.

LA: Josh plays a free show at @zebulonla on January 27th. “
